I think that ap shaco scales pretty well - definitely way better than ad shaco. For ad shaco to be effective, you need to go in and hope you can get a kill before dying, which becomes harder to do in team fights. Ap shaco requires no commitment to be useful and can rely on box spam, which becomes more powerful during objective fights.

@@Doost311 except if you got a 50% chance of trading 1 for 1, and 50% chance of them bursting you, then on average you're not even getting a kill every time you die. your engage is your only disengage, aside from your ultimate which is needed for auto DPS in a lot of cases.

Who said its 50/50? I commonly one shot or two shot ADC's when doing the burst build shaco has.. Yomuus, Prowlers, essence, LDR, movespeed or atk speed boots, and bloodthirster, with the normal hail of blades primary and AD blue secondary. Even at like 40minutes when everyone is level 18 I can just two tap someone... If there is any threat they can burst me I just run up behind them R, then auto with the clone. This works because big weakness of shaco R is the cast delay, with Q stealth you can't be seen during that delay and are free to immediately auto attack with the clone for burstable numbers even on tankier target. The only time i've ever had trouble dealing with backliners on shaco is if i'm either super far behind (which I mean of course) or if their backline is a hyperscaler that decided to build 2-3 armor items instead of damage options, I've literally gone against dravens running ninja tabi and randuins and can still kill them@@c.j.8263

I see what happened, she triggered the shako box when she went through the wall and it got her right when she came out while getting hit by camille at the same time. Stunned! Great fight.

You seriously undervalued Shadowflame. Not only is the item just, generally quite powerful (a full 100 AP) but magic pen goes a lot further than ratios, especially when you have all this item damage. Straight-up, I'm pretty sure if you'd gone Shadowflame instead of Deathcap, you would have seen the Shadowflame contribute more damage than Demonic had by the end. Like, at one point you were thinking of selling Liandry for 20 extra pen...that's kinda just what Shadowflame would be giving you. Morello would have been 10 pen too. When you're doing all this % health damage every bit of magic resist you can shave off is huge.

Not sure if this is still true, but I remember void staff doesn't effect the damage of traps like box and shrooms. Only flat pen does. Though it does still effect Teemo Q and Shaco E. That could be why Shaco didn't build Void Staff.

not getting an oblivion was pretty bad this game. It would've been massive value between Zeri and Lee lifesteal + Sona heals. The value would've probably been 3k+. Also, the full Morello gives some pen as well.

I don't understand why champions like Akali can build FOUR defensive items and still deal abt 2-3k dmg while you have to commit to a full offensive ap+pen build to even (sometimes) do damage. Playing against someone that builds a single merc threads as MR and you with all pen items deal nothing. Its like Riot has a b-ner for assassins being hella tank while also out damaging everyone and with high mobility. Try doing that Akali build on Xerath...
