The way Pele wrongfoots the defenders, slices the ball and times swinging or tilting his body to work the ball clear is sheer magic; no one has ever been able to match his improvisation skills before or since .

I'm in total agreement Sir, although I must say Maradona came very close. In some ways he was even better, but I always felt he was a bit more limited, mostly in regards to being one footed and lacking an aerial presence!

Yeah I could've included a couple. There was a brilliant improvised header he did where the ball gets played behind him, so he has to stop his run and dive backwards, and *_still_* manages to score! This was never going to be a long video, so there's lot's of magical moments that didn't make the final cut. I tried to fit in as much as I could to go along with the music of my choice. I'm not the biggest fan of compilations which only show " flashes " of brilliance and cut before you see what happens next. I like to show *_phases of play_* even if they include errors, as they encapsulate the real nature of the " beautiful game ". This won't be my last Pele video!

Esque es por demas. Aunke griten alaridos "barrileeeteee cosssmiiicoo..." 😂 los exajerados, no se deja uno de maravillar tantas jugadas y tantos goles de muchas formas de el rey Pele en campeonatos locales, internacionales y finales de mundiales. Con solo ver el 20% de su carrera en videos es suficiente para quedarse uno enmudesido. Es el mejor. Tenia todo.

What you say is true. He performed consistently at the highest level ( the Brazilian League, World Cup, Copa Libertadores + Intercontinental Cup, against European opposition ) all for the best part of 15 years! And yes there is said to be somewhere between 20-30% of his matches that exist on tape. Imagine all the magical moments that we missed....the goal against Juventus when he sombreros three defenders inside the box and then the goalie before heading it in being a great example!
