Just one way to store and carry 2 AR15s and accessories/ammo. It’s a heavy setup and isn’t cheap, but it will definitely get the job done. #ar15 #silencer #ar15build #recce #scope #minirecce #pelicancase

The option instead of screwing would be to use 3m Spray adhesive, contact cement, or construction adhesive such as PL400. Nice guns, optics, etc!

The issues you have with things pulling from the case and the pieces flexing because they are not attached at the bottom could be solved by reconfiguring it a bit. Instead of two long sections at the top, you could have one long section at the top, then in the middle have the 2/1 section and then have a long section at the bottom. That would result in the middle vertical divider pressing against both the top and bottom long sections, causing them to not flex and pull under weight. Or at least limit it significantly.

Was thinking about using this as just the gear case. Looks like it would work for that. Thanks for the upload man! Knew I could rely on the video once I saw the Criterion and Bucees stickers lol

lol I'm the same way! I had a ton of stickers and think it looks cheesy to put them on my truck. I've also been looking for a case that I can put my PCC's in to replace true gun cases for travel purposes, thanks for the vid.
@justsomedude5562 жыл бұрын
Yeah for PCCs I’m sure there’s a good size that’s more square that doesn’t scream ‘guns inside’

I wouldn’t worry about the case looking like it has a gun in it as I believe anyone that looks at any high end case would assume it carried something very valuable. Also, I’ve literally seen where people have stolen an entire campsite worth of high end hunting gear but left the rifles as threat would have made it federal. I’m not saying I would count on that issue stopping gun theft just stating that you never know what thieves are thinking and trying to out think them is pointless. Btw, that is a good case and I like the idea of that set up better than the long cases I have.

Mines covered in stickers too. Itll never go to the airport so who cares. I also usually train at the range i built on family land but when i shoot at the public range, we all already know.

I'd leave the 1650 or 1660 for equipment. I would still do a 1750 for a rifle or two, and a pistol + mags.
@skuttsupreme8351 Жыл бұрын
Nice set up though. I just can’t understand why anyone would pick the pelican over the Apache as they’re half the price or less and identical in every aspect save 1 that is irrelevant.
@skuttsupreme8351 Жыл бұрын
No thanks on the overpriced Pelican cases. I only buy Apache cases at Harbor Freight, they’re just as good, and less than half the price. I personally tested both side by side which I plan on uploading to KZbin. Both performed equal in the pressure testing, submerged, and from 30 feet (dropped). The pelican only did one thing better, and that was held up when run over by a half ton truck. The Apache did protect the items inside, but the case didn’t hold up to the truck while the pelican did. Since I don’t plan on my weapons being ran over by an 18 wheeler, there’s no sense in spending tons of money on the pelican when the Apache is just as waterproof and air tight as the pelican. People really don’t understand how good Apache cases are. Pelicans are just too high and it’s mainly due to the name.

Hey Just Some Dude I just found this vid searching for 1650 case videos. I was wondering if you happen to know if I got the same set up as you, would a 16” barreled AR, with vg6 epsilon comp on it (about 25’ish” oal for the upper) fit left to right like yours do or would I have to have it on the diagonal? Like what’s the final interior dimensions of the case with that trekpack divider system do you know?
@justsomedude556 Жыл бұрын
I just measured it and it’s 27-7/8”, so you should be good.

@@justsomedude556 that’s awesome, thank you. Also I’m wildly impressed you even responded let alone measured it and everything. Especially off a year and change old video….. you’re awesome man. Thank you.

How much does the 1650 with all your stuff in it weigh? Would you have to pay the $200 overweight baggage fees?
@justsomedude556 Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s 28# with just foam so you’d definitely be over 50# with gear and ammo

I've only traveled with a firearm once and last I checked TSA was good with ammo being in the same locked hard case. I had a pistol, mags and 2 boxes of ammo all in one little pelican case.
