Kinda "late to the party" in watching this video, Aliex, but I was noticing a LOT of propeller cavitation (sucking air from the water's surface). I'd highly recommend that you extend the shaft/ motor about two more inches deeper than what you have in this video. You're losing quite a bit of efficiency when the motor is cavitating like that. Just shopping around for all things kayak and YOUR CHANNEL has been the MOST educational and FUN to watch!! MUCHOS MUCHOS GRACIAS! Stay Safe out there, my friend!

I don't even know if it is possible to remove the noise
@ronniepatterson28275 жыл бұрын
Not exactly positive about the Bixby's noise as ive just hrd it in vids, but that Torqueedo I had a few yrs ago on my Jackson Coosa, was straight up obnoxious the way it whirred & hummed, even on the lowest setting lol. Not exactly ideal for stalking fish in skinny water, to say the least ! Ty for this vid Aliex :)
@catfishjohn23294 жыл бұрын
Hey Aliex. It looks like you were most concerned with getting from point A to point B. Is that correct? What about fishing? Do you consider this build practical for manipulating your position (or spot) while fishing? My biggest pet peeve about kayak fishing is holding my spot and direction. Thanks.

Alright Aliex! Been waiting to see this for a long time. Did my own mod with the MinKota 45 riptide on a Pelican Catch NXT. Made the transom myself (and it looks it) and used the lithium battery also (half the weight of regular marine ). All based on KZbin videos. It works great and really gives me a smile when I take off. But now this Power 100. so clean. Love the back end, battery case and wiring, and the movable chair. Could of been a 1' longer maybe but 10' is OK. Think it may have been better with the tunnel hull but still looks pretty stable. Does this make it a boyak? Nothings perfect! Love to see it at our next boat show in Houston.

Lol 👍 I’d mount the motor head between your legs with the twist grip vertical like an airplane flight stick. Use a cable and control horn system to leaver the left / right control. Wouldn’t be difficult at all 😉 eliminates reaching back and then retains space for back storage. I could help you with layout.
