Got one just like it, love it. Took out on Lake Michigan trolling for browns. Had a Hangkia 4 hp on it, but now have a Suzuki 2.5 much quieter. Perfect for near shore trolling. Waiting on the Canada border to open so I can take it to Alaska for salmon. Should be a ball.

Aliex you say the boat won't idle. Since you dunked it twice, in salt water, first thing to do is take the carb apart and make sure all the jets and passages are clear. May have organic matter or corrosion starting. Drain and replace the oil with clean oil. Make sure the inside of the cowl has nothing blocking the carb air going in. Check the throttle plate is opening properly and closing properly. It appears to be getting spark good. Do something before you take it out again as throwing it in gear at higher RPM is going to eat your gear box and kill it. Check the little cap that allows air onto the fuel tank to make sure you aren't starving the engine for fuel at low RPM.

open the hood, find the tip of the gas line, there is a screw there that the arm gas line pulling is leaning against. That adjusts the minimum gas.. increase it a bit using a screw driver..

@@AliexFolgueira Jonny is a awesome rig! But i am not a fan of motor in the pod setups. For reasons specific to the types of waters i prefer. I love rivers, typically show rivers. The pod motors tend to stick down to much for this. My idea set up would be both rear mounted gas and troller. But at the same time we REALLY need outboard manufactures to get on board with some small motors that are designed for kayaks and not canoe or rafts. Ultra short shafts, higher rpm with less torque, lets face it our vessels are a lot easier to move through the water than a raft or canoe so excessive torque is wasted at the cost of speed. So work on the shifting, throttle and steering designed around kayak seating also would be great (something we dont have to diy invent). Sorry a life time as a engineer has left me wishing i could spend a week or 2 in a outboard r&d department lol. I am hoping noW that BASS has jumped into the mix we will see some rapid development for kayak bass fishing as a whole. As someone who remembers what bass boats were before and after BASS came in i KNOW it drives the market. Compare and 60/early 70's bass boat to a 2019 and they dont even look like the same class of boat. There will always be a market for the Now traditional paddle kayak (i say now traditional because todays kayaks are not yesterdays kayaks). But in the next few years i see fishing kayaks morphing into small personal bass rigs. I mean its already happening, Go back 30 years and find a kayak that is deigned around standing up on it lol.

Hey Jose, I'm going to put my 2.5 hp Suzuki, on my pelican catch 120 I just ordered. Kinda like our good friend Marty Zoffinger did. Jonny boat wasn't for me. I'm on a 700 acre freshwater lake. Me and my brother like to fish a little, but enjoy 2 or 3 night camping trips by our kayaks. The pelican is fast with no motor. Just wondering what your top speed was on your blue catch 100. I only weigh 140 lbs. And i take not as much fishing gear, more camping gear. Be safe my friend. God bless..

I put a 3.5 Mercury 4 stroke. I get 9.6 mph average. But only by removing the seat and using a 56'' extension sitting all the way up front. I kinda wish I bought the 4 or 5 for it.

Well Jonny is out right now you can buy it, catch will not be for a few months. Jonny needs a motor 100% It doesn't paddles as well because it was designed to plane as a boat. I think it works best when you have the motor pot and the outboard, you know outboard to get you there faster, motor pod to fish, catch doesn't have that but it has a super fun 360 seat, it paddles well and it is wired for a battery and trolling motor. You gotta see which if these features speak to you, I would buy them both lol

If it is carbureted you probably got a little piece of trash under the needle and the carburetor if you will tear it apart and use carburetor cleaner to blow it all out and put it back together and put it back on there it should idle

Im still smh at the omission of the wheels that were prominent in all the marketing by Pelican on this Vessel, & even if production costs was to blame, they should have bit the bullet & raised the price of it anyways if they had to. Most folks I know that would be interested in this,"like me btw" lol prefer Kayaks over Boats, because of the ease of use, & efficiency Kayaks offer. #facts You see all kinds of wheels being used by consumers, adding to the ease of use factor, from high-end Boondox types, to diy projects on KZbin, but have yet to hear ANYONE say: "man id give anything for a seat to twirl around in, now that the bite has slowed down" ;)

i suspect it was not a cost issue and more of a potential problem area for hull warping and cracking. Yes feelfree has pulled it off well but theirs is single and about useless on anything other than concrete. And every time i see a wheel in the keel i cringe at the thought of river gravel getting wedged in there. Not to mention river clay, mud, muck and grass getting all wound up between hull and wheel. Maybe i am weird i seldom launch at ramps. I would had liked to see them do something like jonny boat for the wheels or like bluesky.

Yeah I agree with you Pelican should have included the wheels even if the price was a bit higher. The wheels would be great for moving the boat around at home and wheeling down the boat ramp.

NiteWolfe Fishing lol I hear ya. I just wish Pelican hadnt promoted that feature so much is all, cause thats what had me giving it an edge on the Johnny Bass 100. Of course everyone said the Catch pwr 100 was a prototype & minor stuff like the front hatch might change a little, "same btw" but no mentions about anything MAJOR changing lol. Also, if hull strength was truly an issue, they wouldnt have been able to mount a bracket on it that supports the thrust of a outboard motor, which I imagine stresses the hull more than any weight & wheels could.

I miss the wheels but they didn't work well over all terrain, if you had gravel, you would probably had to use a cart, 90% of the time it work well. I do like the $999 price tag! Also this craft paddles like a kayak, you can use it without the motor
