Pellet Testing @ 40 meters using the Daystate Redwolf - JSB vs QYS - which one is best?

It is fun to test pellets. In this video I test out three varieties of pellets...which one will group the best?

I’m not going to lie, I have tried all sorts of pellets in my RM8. The grouping I can get at 45 yards with these pellets is insane. I have tried so many different types and always come back to QYS .177 9.56Gr. In fact I buy so many tins I should probably get shares in them. Lol. Great video and if people haven’t tried them, give them a whirl. You guys always produce good, straight up content, I love it. I’ve got some interesting videos of night shooting at about 40-45yards with QYS 9.56Gr if you fancy a ganders.

I love the QYS streamlined heavies defo a stacker for me and the beauty with qys is the batch numbers are less relevant due to a different press system

Should try the FX branded JSB 10.3s they seem more consistent with most of the tin being 4.52 head size. Which seems to be what the ART barrel in the HP's like.

Just tryed the qys heavy in my hw100 at 30 yards, equal to jsb heavy will try at 50 yards soon for my possible new pellet choice.nice test by the way 👍

What I've found with the qys pellets in 8.5 grn compared to jsb exact And 9.3 gen qys compared to the jsb heavies is that the bc values are not quite so high (in my guns -bsa s ) So while the accuracy is certainly there up to 40 yds the groups drop and open a bit more than the jsbs as there higher bcs win out . Still a great pellet and would be my second choice after jsb .

Nice one 👍 My HW110k .177 loves JSB heavy (not quiet the groups you get @40m, but I’ll take my groups, knocking around barns at < half the price of your Redwolf😉) Looks like I’ll have to try the QYS. But only after I’ve got through my ‘panic buy’ of 1000 heavys last month 😳 Not going to last that long now I have finally found a ratting perm in my area 🤙 Off to get some rabbits this evening. My hw100 .177 likes the QYS.....................a lot. Very bright finish and appear harder than JSB. Curious to know what metals are used.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't QYS Chinese? It looks as if they are the way to go.

All three look ok. QYS ( if your barrel likes them ) normally are very consistent as the pellets normally have less skirt or head damage and if you bother to weigh a batch there is less deviation than other brands. Most serious HFT and FT guys weigh and sort their pellets as if the gun is consistent on air ( which a regulated gun should be) the only other variable you can control is the pellet ( weather and wind would be nice 🙂) Watching guys with access to plus 12ft/lbs guns with slugs and maybe ART or smooth twist barrels you can see some amazing accuracy but realistically on sub 12 guns we should only be worrying about up to 50 yards IMHO. Anyway why does the title say 50m and the cards state 40m, click bait 😉
