Just got myself a few of these Dave. Trying them out tomorrow 👍🏻

As I said yesterday I’d be trying these out today. The lake I fish regular is around 1.5 acres and has a good head of carp. Waggler is a great tactic but I’ve found can be hard at times. Feeding 3-5 8mm pellets generally works well. I’ve always used a waited waggler which crashes into the lake a bit to much and spook the fish so I thought I’d try these Middy floats to see if it made a difference. It definitely did. They really present well and I certainly caught more fish and more regular. 👍🏻

I love a day on the pellet wag if they’re having it it’s hard to beat, if it goes quiet I usually throw a bomb over the top and often have a little run of fish mopping up the pellets on the bottom
@BagUpTV2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I do same mate , great tactic underneath your waggler line 👍

Nice video dave well put 👍 and explained and made it look very simple ( as good anglers do) .westwoods changed a bit since last time I fished it 1972 !! Them days it was solid with gudgeon ,perch and nice roach and I think it was free .I'm 67 now so most venues have changed!! Look forward to next un ,cheers pal.

Cheers Albert , yes when I first started fishing it , it was all silvers and some lovely tench and crusions in. Still a lovely looking place 👍

Great video Dave. You ever fish the bomb underneath the waggler line good with a long hooklengh when things go quiet. Picks out a few extra fish.
@BagUpTV2 жыл бұрын
Yes all the time in matches always picks out them extra fish. 👍

What’s the best rod you’d recommend for carp fishing? Like the one you used in the video? I bought a carp rod recently (not too expensive). I like the bend at the end of the rods when you’re on the feeder etc so you can see you’re getting bites. This new one is quite thick at the end. Thanks!

Fished this method on Saturday. It's hard work, but rewarding when they take it on splash. Can be a bit frustrating when you keep missing bites! 😬👍🏽🎣

Hi Dave! Nice session! ...What catapult do You use for pellet waggler fishing?
@BagUpTV2 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate it’s a MIDDY X-Flex 329 Pellet Caty , spot on mate 👍

Dave, I didn't hear you say what the reel line is your using. It doesn't appear to be " M Tech " Is this a new line from Middy? I'm looking for a robust 8 lb sinking reel line for pellet wag and slow sinker.

Can’t say mate testing it at the moment 👍

very good video there David, very well presented, thank you, PS see!!! you can give a talk on what you using and what your doing ❤
@BagUpTV2 жыл бұрын
Hello James yes I can talk and fish when doing a little feature, when it’s not a match. When it’s a big match I like to respect the other people fishing and not talk all the time , that’s why In the matches I do my talking before and after 👍

Dave could you tell me what mugging means I left èngland 40 years ago in those days just had maggots bread and corn
@BagUpTV2 жыл бұрын
Just means when the carp are cruising on the top if you flick pole or waggler rig at them they mite go for it and that’s called mugging. People say I mugged a carp just slang word 👍
@jeffreytofield97642 жыл бұрын
Thank you for replying hope you have many more tight lines keep the videos coming I'm jealous that I'm not in England to do a bit of what I loved a day on the bank

What depth do you start at on the pellet wag normally
@BagUpTV2 жыл бұрын
About 4ft then go to 5 ft , normally you get them on the splash 👍
@ryanogden58952 жыл бұрын
@@BagUpTV on other lakes would that normally be say half depth and go up or down according to the fish
@BagUpTV2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanogden5895 would never go any shallower than 3ft , but yeah about right mate .
