@9:34 - most humidifiers will power back on to last setting after power is cut off from the plug. A 15 amp wifi power plug and a wifi humidity sensor that work with the Smart Life app will fix the internal sensor issue ( ~$30 and also get Alexa/Google on/off voice control support ).

Good to know! I may look into that. I did run a fan behind the unit for a while and that helped, but it was a cheapo fan from Walmart and it's already died.

I use mine to dehumidify our 2 car garage, it does a great job. No problems.
@evann54512 жыл бұрын
I had just figured the problem was the because the sensor is too close to the system that it's reading the humidity as lower than the rest of the room actually is, and then when it turns off then it starts to read the actual humidity of the room

About the timer function i can't figure out mine, let's say i want to turn mine on from 11am to 4pm do i add the on time at 11 and the off at 16?
@human1513 Жыл бұрын
Just got my Senville (same dehumidifier) today. The Timer works via how many hours do you want it to run from 0.5 to 24 hours. The Timer Off. Or it can be set for when you want it to turn on as in 5 hours from now for example, as I understand it. Unfortunately the manual is lacking details on the timer and what the Comfort does.

@human1513 yea I figured it out eventually a few days before your reply, but thanks for the help & taking the time to answer! ✌️

One question, friends, how do I put it so that it gets hot?
@human1513 Жыл бұрын
Midea of China is the world's largest producer of robots and appliances. It is the OEM for many brands. Per Wikepedia. Got a Senville (looks like a Midea). If mine does the fast cycling on / off I will take it apart and relocate the sensor.

Wish I had watched this video before I bought my Pelonis PAD50P1ABL yesterday. It's in my 1200 sq ft. basement which is usually around 70 degrees, 60% humidity in the summer. I set it at 50% and about 6 hours later, it brought it down to 50%. Props for that, but it started short cycling just like yours. Not good on the compressor, etc. The humidistat is on the upper right hand side of the coils. I'm very tempted to void the warranty and move it away from the coils to see if that helps. Maybe just outside of the casing.

I am quite tempted as well. Let me know how it goes, if you decide to do it!
@bruddahp67633 жыл бұрын
@@matteng1997 I didn't move the humidistat, but I did manage to keep it from short cycling, and didn't void the warranty. First I tried using a small fan pointed at the back of the dehumidifier about 5 feet away to see if that made a difference. It did! So I mounted a small 12v 30mm x 30mm fan right over the humidistat. It's ugly, but now after the humidifier stops, it doesn't start up again within a minute or two. Last time I checked, it took over 30 minutes before started up again.

@@bruddahp6763 That's fantastic! Great work. I may have to try that on mine. I had a feeling that if the internal fan would run just a bit longer than it does, it would solve the issue. An external fan would be a good workaround!

If you put a small little fan plastic family cost like 10 bucks behind it on the wall it'll just stick with a little stickum it clears it right up

I just got a new 50 pint unit and when on continuous mode, it turns off maybe every 10 minutes, then after about 15 seconds starts back up. The humidistat goes up about 10 numbers in 15 seconds!!! After two weeks it’s been doing the same thing 24/7.

I have this unit and it runs but does not add water to the bucket. Ran great for a year and then Just quit dehumidifying. What's wrong with it??
@matteng19972 жыл бұрын
I'd contact the manufacturer to see whats going on. Sounds like only the fan is running but not the rest of the unit. If the air blowing out feels cool instead of warm, the compressor likely isn't running.
@ryanstrains644611 ай бұрын
This may also be a sign of it loosing a charge if the compressor is running.

I have a heater that cycles like that..... actually even faster. When the heater comes back on, sometimes, the fan won't spin a full revolution before the heater kicks back off again.

How do I set it to automatically turn off and on? I set it to 55 humidity for 1 hour. I was hoping to make it so that it would run for 1 hour a day...
@matteng19973 жыл бұрын
Hey, sorry I just saw this comment! There is a timer function that you can use to control when it turns off/on. Unfortunately, you'll have to reprogram the timer each time it cycles through. You could turn the unit on and set the timer to turn off after an hour. Make sure you have it on "continuous" mode while the unit is on and drying so that you'll get exactly one full hour of use without it "cycling" due to the humidistat fluctuating. Let me know if you have any further questions!

What filter do i need
@matteng19972 жыл бұрын
The filter comes installed with the unit. It's located on the back. The filter can be easily removed, washed, and snapped back into place.
