great video - couldn't agree more with the auto-resistance change on the scenic rides. Sometimes I feel myself just cycling along and not hearing the instructor's call outs. Hopefully this will change moving forward!

I like the scenic rides for my rest days. I don’t get a hard workout, but it’s nice to do the timed rides for 20 or 30 minutes so I don’t have to think about how far I have to go. If I’m just not feeling a class, they’re a great way to hop on for a leisurely ride so I’m still getting some activity. I work from home too, so they’re also great when I’m on a tcon that I don’t need to participate in but can just ride and listen.

Great review! The apparent lack of outdoor ride quality on Peloton is literally the only reason I'm considering something else like a NordicTrak. Hopefully they get it sorted out soon because the rest of the ecosystem looks fantastic!

Peloton really could learn a thing or two (or more!) from iFit with their scenic rides. I own a Bike+ myself, but have had the opportunity to do a scenic/outdoor ride on a NordicTrack S22i and the experience was so much better! However, the Peloton studio workouts are unmatched, I think. And they're what keep me going back Nice video, Steve!

I don’t miss it and I really enjoy some of the premium alcohol free brewed “beer” alternatives. Some of them are straight up delicious. I had some time ago the Peleton Farrad to the test and I returned it due to the very bad Scenisrides and the meager offer. Who would rather do Scenicrides than the studio courses is better served with an iFit subscription and a NordicTrack S22i. Here, the focus is clearly on the scenic rides. The gimmicks that the S22i also offers (incline / decline, automatic resistance) have also been a reason for me to switch. In any case, I am very satisfied and will stay with it.

I did the Ben Aldis scenic ride and loved it. I got really good stats and really smashed it. Thought it was going to be a calmer ride but then the leader board got me 🤣

I fear it’s only a matter of time before peleton becomes an expensive second fiddle to the competition with the bike & tread if they don’t pull their socks up. General lack of outside of the US live runs and rides to take part in at sensible mid week times.

Peloton "Just Ride" features are only available if you have a "Full Membership" thus making it one of the most expensive bikes that will NOT display any metrics whatsoever, unless you have an active account.

Totally with you on the auto resistance in the free rides. Seems so simple. As a result I still have my wahoo kickr. I’m shocked at out how little intelligence is actually designed into the system. There’s no dashboard that tells you how many miles one has logged over x period, cadence over y period, avg watts over z period, incline/decline etc etc. Senseless and basic.

Peleton is still going? Are they even updating stuff on this platform? The company just crashed didnt it? No wonder really, their value was worth more than most US airlines in a matter of a year... for a bike making company! Bit of an expensive fad I thought. Looks like they are going bust... no more new buyers now covid is over, everyone that wants one has one. No more new ideas... not committed to their content. They are an overpriced bike making company. Not set up to be a production company. Looks like this content thing was their last ditich effort to squeeze cash out of the endevour. Cant help but laugh at this ~5K excercise bike. All that money has been swallowed up by Peleton execs... they already sold all their stock! All peleton owners will be left holding the bag on this one, which is a shame . But if they did their research and didnt just follow the trends, they would not look so stupid :0/ 😔 I hope most of them can afford to have a bricked machine sitting there in a year or so :0(
