I love everything I see and is shown about the Nordic Track, but then I read the customer service and I cant imagine paying $4,000 for a gamble that it arrives in working condition. If I get a good one, Ill be happy, if there are any problems, they wont take care of the issue and I would have lost 4K or added months of misery. You guys could make a ton of money contracting out and handling there customer service. I've never in 35 years of business seen comments like this consistently. I like the review, scared to take the plunge

I purchased the Nordic Track after this review. One thing to consider when purchasing is the non existent customer service at Nordic Track. The website noted ship date of June 9th. I tried calling after that date for an update, and it is impossible to get through on the phone. Several times I have been on hold with awful music for over an hour just to be disconnected in the end. There’s no email or any other way to contact them. I tried posting on their Facebook page, my comment along with all other comments questioning the customer service were deleted and I was blocked from the website. My Facebook messages went unanswered. If I am ever able to get a hold of someone, I am demanding a refund. All I wanted was to check on shipping status, I can’t image what it would be like if I ever had an issue. My money will go to Peloton.

There customer service is TOTAL TRASH. My treadmill has been broken for 2 months and I have owned it for 4 months. I have called customer service several times and each time I have to wait over an hour to speak to some one. They have told me the part will arrive in three weeks each time and here I am still with a broken treadmill.

I just got mine 1. Delivery guy just dumped it in my driveway 2. Heavy! You need two people to assemble it 3. My x22i came scratched, and the plastic casing came broken/cracked 4. Missing part; the crossbar 5. Takes forever to get customer service 6. It took 5 weeks to get here, the 30 day window starts the moment you buy not when you receive it 7. It is very difficult to return, even with manufacturing defects such as mine...you have to pay restocking fee (10%) and shipping (a few hundred) ..up to you to arrange logistics! 8. The incline mechanism is very loud going up (an issue with the ifit auto adjustments) I have pics and video if interested...

I bought a Nordic track about 5 years ago and the customer service was atrocious... I couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone for about 3 days, I had to basically complain on Twitter to get their attention. So if you ever have problems with it good luck trying to get it resolved. It took me close to a week to talk to anyone and I decided to return it after that experience and ate the 500 dollar loss. The 500 dollar loss was a restock fee.

Bring thank you for this information. I didn't think the Peloton was as 'meaty' as our Sole F80. We also lie to clean under the treadmill which is really easy to do with the Sole F80 and it is easier to watch the TV while someone uses the treadmill as the Sole F80 looks much more quieter. Makes us happy with what we have (PS we also have a company that comes out to service our treadmill from time to time.) Thanks for this video.

Longer warranty but you have to replace the parts instead of having a certified individual fix it. Also maybe you should review the reliability as well. NordicTrack may have more features, but breakdown far more often. A broken trend is worthless regardless of how many bells are on it.

I wonder if there are more NordicTrack technicians than there are Peloton technicians to come perform routine maintaince on their products. My Tread has developed a loud screeching noise that started as a squeak - did I mention its really LOUD. Peloton has told me I have to pay $1,750 to replace my base !!! They are not even suggesting to have a technician come and troubleshoot the noise. And I have only had the treadmill for 18 months with very light usage. Buyer beware with Tread. Their bike is terrific, my experience with their Tread is completely opposite.

I purchased an x22i that was DOA. 5 weeks of sitting sand counting because the control board is out of stock. Very high failure rate on these machines. It’s very disappointing. Shocked to see the lack of quality control when taking a better look at how these are thrown together. Buyer beware. My experience is not isolated. I am returning it.

I have the large peloton tread plus that has been recalled. I can return for a refund but honestly the norditrac isn’t even close. The slat belt design is magnificent. I’ve never run on any treadmill close to the peloton, including all the commercial treadmills in the gyms. I guess I’m just going to keep my recalled treadmill because it is so superior. I’ve had it for two years and run almost every day still. It’s a workhorse.

If I can't talk to a real person in the case of a sale, I have little confidence I'd be able to reach someone in the event of a problem and from what I was reading while I was waiting on hold all that time, though the model seemed to have great features, there were quality issues and people who had them couldn't get. very good response from the company (which was what I was experiencing at that moment). The online chat was useless. Couldn't answer basic questions. I'm not even sure it was a real person on the other end.

Based on your great videos I purchased a NordicTrack X22i incliner. The delivery service was a total nightmare to the point That 2 months later I had to ask for a refund. I am looking at Peloton instead of Norditrac (Till yesterday, I was going to get the Commercial incline HD X22i) because, number 1, they have a Free form switch that can turn it into a TrueForm treadmill (except it doesn't incline when in that mode unfortunately and it is flat) and they also offer 0% 39 months free financing (same as Nordictrac) and their membership service at $39/month is optional and they ship for free.

I have a Nordic Xll and a Landice L9 and the cushion on the Nordic is so much better. With the Nordic, you can put it in ADMIN mode and you can add apps, you can watch shows and movies, KZbin and NETFLIX. However, if all you want to do run and train then the Nordic is a workhorse, and yes it does get loud at higher speed, but as I have figured out there is also a way to quiet that too.

It’s such a shame that the machine isn’t built to last! Nordic Track sent these machines out with a faulty circuit board that will go out not long after purchasing. Oh, I should add, not long but long enough to be outside the return window. Mine went precisely 6 months after purchasing. The circuit board controls the belt, so when it goes out your stuck with a tv stand. Replacements are on back order due to high demand and I’ve read many customers end up with the same problem not long after replacing. I wish someone would have written about this when I was researching treadmills to buy. Please do some research of your own and steer clear of Nordic track brand treadmills!

Peloton digitial is loaded now for the average user. I want it to upgrade to more advanced or longer-based sessions in Strength for instance - and a bodybuilding package, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. For the average home user - you have plenty to work with. Lots of core/bodyweight to start. NT - a total nothing burger. So trade out the gym membership, sign up with Peloton and at 39/month that's your gym membership in the convenience of your own home. Not comparable.

I agree with your conclusion that the x32i seems to be a smarter buy and the benefits of the incline and iFit option seems to provide a more immersive experience. I do have a question in regards to the x32i, does the sled bar get in the way of the screen when on the treadmill? I can tell it blocks the lower part of the screen when you are doing coach led training off of the treadmill, such as yoga or weights, but was wondering if that is something you have to contend with all the time? Great question, when you are off the treadmill it will depend on how tall you are and also your position in relation to the screen as well as how you have the screen tilted. If you're doing floor work and you are down on the ground doing pushups, you'll have about 3-5 inches covered up, but that shouldn't be an issue as you'll be able to hear your trainer telling you what to do. To us that hasn't seemed to be that big of deal during floor workouts. Those are just our thoughts, let us know if you have any follow up questions, thanks!

I have watched so many of your review videos on several of the Nordic Track treadmills and now the Pelaton's Tread. I understand your lean towards the Nordic Track and if it was JUST the treadmill itself it wouldn't be too hard of a decision. However, after reading SO many negative reviews of the iFit subscription I'm just not confident in anything with iFit. I know the Nordic Track comes with pre-loaded workouts, but many iFit users describe the treadmill itself not working while dealing with iFit loading and crashing issues. Have you had any issues with the iFit subscriptions? For the purchase price, it is unsettling to read so many negative reviews about a good treadmill being hindered by terrible software on the subscription service.

In our experience, iFit has been great. There have been glitches here or there where a workout will take some time to load or the volume buttons have been a little glitchy (popping on and off the screen when trying to adjust the volume). ifit was down for one day recently that we remember but other than that we really haven't had any issues with. It's a similar experience with Peloton for us. It could be our internet connection but more often than not it takes several minutes (up to 5 minutes once) for a Peloton workout to load. So far from our experience both of the workout programs have pros and cons but they both provide really great content. We hope this helps shed some light on your question and helps out. I have had my x32i for about 6 weeks now and I can say that iFit has been very reliable. I've yet to have a workout stop in the middle as some have stated. The only minor issue I have had was that upon turning the treadmill on the iFit software never brought me to the home screen; just the iFit logo remained on the screen and nothing else further occurred. While this has happened a couple of times, it's simple to resolve - just power off and back on. Other than that minor nuisance, I really like the treadmill and iFit. I also have the Peleton bike, which is great in its own right, but the Peloton tread, like the bike, only offers indoor classes. While iFit also has indoor classes, I now prefer the outdoor workouts, which have an unlimited number and variety. Assuming the iFit software works the same on any model of Nordictrack treadmill, I would not shy away from their product only because it's linked to iFit.

No, unfortunately that's not something that iFit offers yet. They have the Google Maps workouts where you can create your own route in any destination in the world, but for us that's not quite the same as having a scenic video playing on your screen. The google maps feature just kind of loads one still image at a time so it's not quite up to the scenic video quality yet. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

To summarize Tommy Callahan, the warranty is there to make you feel all warm and fuzzy, and because NT probably knows you'll need them before buying their product. Peloton sells an extended warranty for 27 months, that you can purchase anytime during the first 12 months. If you add it to your financing, its about $8 more, and gives you a 3+ year bumper to bumper.

Please exercise caution and sound judgement before buying this product. Their customer support is ignorant and you will likely regret it in weeks if not days. You pay so much for it and there is absolutely nothing you can do once you’ve bought it and face these issues. First they shipped the treadmill in parts it took 3 or 4 months. Then I had billing issues. They billed me twice saying they were sending a second one since the first shipment had missing parts, it took forever to resolve and now the belt does not move. Good luck if you do decide to buy it. I own one and now I feel stuck with it. The belt stopped moving in 6 months and in under 400 miles that I’ve used it for. If you do magically manage to get to help desk - they will literally ask you to open console (which is ridiculous), they use self service concept through a video app. If something happens they don’t even respond to your calls/emails. I dread the music they play when you wait for help and worst thing is they try to sell you more stuff while you’re on hold for hours. 😅 holy macaroni! Go for peloton guys!

NordicTrack recently updated their software to allow connection of Bluetooth headphones which has been an awesome update with iFit. Both companies don't have great reviews when it comes to their customer service. Majority of the time you're going to get a machine that works perfectly, though, so you won't need to worry about working with customer service.

Treadmills are around 3-5k I still can't get around the fact they also want a subscription for f sake, if they want me to sign a subscription they had better give lifetime warranty after 10 years as long as you have a subscription that means lifetime labor , frame motor and broken parts forever and ever infinite free fixes or replcement of the treadmill if they want me to keep paying subscription after a 3 to 5k treadmill.

Why does Nordic claim a 4.5hp electric motor? It must be using some sort of funny calculations. An electric motor with that much HP would pull well over 3000 watts from a standard 110v AC residential outlet. That is impossible. I wonder what other specs they fudge?

Maybe but she went over the advantages of both, did you not see that part of the video? I guess one could make the argument that the advantages of the NordicTrac are worthless to you but I think maybe for the vast majority of us, they seem to be pretty beneficial, i.e. fans not in a $4k+ treadmill, longer warranty, a chest heart rate monitor included, follow trainers around the world.

Nice review. I live in an apartment. Although it is built well and has concrete floors, I am still slightly concerned about noise. Any thoughts on how much vibration/thudding would result from the x32i? I am a 200 pound guy.

Thanks for checking out our review, and great question! There isn't a great way to measure/quantify the vibration and thudding, but we just had one of our reviewers run on the X32i and use a decibel meter (he's about 240). Here's the info we got, hopefully it helps out a little bit but please let us know if you have any follow up questions. With the treadmill set at 12 MPH (fastest speed) with no one running on it, the X32i got up to 60 dB, the app we were using equated this to a "quiet library". With the treadmill set at 7 MPH with our reviewer running on it, at each step the meter hit anywhere from 71-73 dB. The app we were using equated that to a "quiet office". We aren't really sure how accurate that comparison is, so take it for what it's worth. You might want to do a quick search on decibels and see what you can find out from the info we just shared. Let us know what you figure out. In the mean time, if you decide to go with the X32i, use our link in the description and it will save you some money on your purchase, thanks!

Would you be able to tell me how I can access the 50 pre-loaded workouts? For the life of me I can not locate them and the user's manual is not of any help either. I'm aware of the manual mode, but just can't seem to find where the 50 pre-loaded workouts are; I'd like to try some of them in advance of my iFit subscription expiring. Thanks!

Great question! If you are logged into iFit, you will need to sign out of the machine and make sure you are still connected to your internet. Once you are at the login page you will find a link on the left-hand side that says, "Continue Without Signing In" click on that and it will take you to an iFit screen. If you go to the workout library from here you should be able to use any of the on-board workouts. Let us know if that works for you.

How much ceiling clearance do you need for the X32i? It looks pretty high off the floor. Seems like I read somewhere that you need a 10 ft ceiling for this.

Great question. We have a reviewer that is 6' 5" that tested this treadmill and used the 40% incline in a room with a 9 ft. ceiling and had plenty of head room. We recommend a 9 foot ceiling but you could get away with 8' 9" ceiling really.

Misty Anderson I currently have the Peloton bike and yes they have an app for your phone and also on the firestick so you can put it on your tv. The only problem is that it won’t track you distances ect with just using the app, unless you have their tread or bike. You could use a fitness watch I suppose. It would be great if there was a place to attach an iPad to use Peloton digital with this treadmill to have it directly in front of you but I don’t see one. I was actually considering getting a super cheap treadmill and use my peloton subscription until I can get this treadmill or the peloton in the future

SluethyT V yes you can use it with the peloton app and it will track all your metrics through Nordictrack while you do the workout. You just won’t be on the leaderboard through peloton. It’s fairly common.

The Peloton app is super robust with the variety and depth of classes...we have the bike but I’ve ended up using many more yoga and treadmill workouts (at my local gym, outdoors, etc.)...it’s awesome...

Well done review. But i would not buy anything from nordictrack or proform for multiple reasons. 1. I have a high end elliptical and the quality of their builds are laughable. Ive had multiple things break and customer service is slow and difficult. Also had an issue with software not updating and i spent hours to get them to send me a USB stick. 2. The ifit app sucks. Super clunky, drops out in the middle of workouts. Instructors are not as good as peloton. 3. Peloton build quality is much higher, software is way more intuitive and does not have issues like ifit. Peloton is way more engaging. Nordictrack/proform throw in all the extras because the quality is very poor and they try increase the value story with subpar equip and user experience. Hope and pray you don't have any brake downs and need to contact customer service.

I am looking at theirs too. The only issue is that they don't offer a 39 month financing. Their's is only 0% for 5 measly months! And all three models cost over $5,000 each. Cascade is also coming out with a curved treadmill like TrueForm as well. Theirs cost $4999. The nice thing about Peloton tread+ is that it has a Free form/spin button to turn it into a TrueForm look-alike but it won't incline once it goes into that mode. Also, it is not curved, it is flat. But, they have a 0% 39 months financing and free shipping which makes it ideal. Their membership is optional I found out today from one of the sales ladies.

I tried the X32i at a store and the IFit was not responding (kept loading/scrolling). I was not able to start the treadmill because of the lack of responsiveness from IFit/screen. So if this happens, or the WiFi is down, is there any way to turn the machine on and run on it without the screen working/on? Is this the case with the 2950 as well? I really appreciate your videos!

We got on and shut off the wifi connection on the monitor and we were still able to start a manual workout. So, even without internet connection, you will still be able to use your treadmill, that applies to the 2950 as well. We hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions.
