I just installed mines,and I believe I tapped the correct reverse wire in my 89 civic. But when I close the trunk it just stays in reverse mode.. can't get it to work. So I undid the red wire and I now get both cameras

They missed a trick with the slide out camera,... should have had it slide out to the RIGHT so that you don't reduce your normal field of view from the drivers seat unneccesarily.
