Good evening. Very good lecture on Pelton (Impulse) Turbines. With reference to the vector diagrams - Can you please clarify 2 things 1) You mentioned the delta angle (deflection) was 165 - Is this a constant or can iterations be undertaken to achieve higher efficiency? 2) You went through the 'whirl' velocity quite quickly.... It'd be beneficial if you could recap on the velocity diagrams and go through complete calculation to illustrate change in momentum on runner bucket (N). Thanks again for the video - Excellent post.

Can we erect pelton turbines at local water tank built to store water ,& distribute to households. Local storage tanks are built at 40 to 50 meters height.. Every morning & evening water is released and flows down at greater heights. For a couple of hours Can we use small generators at those sites to generate electricity

@RohitChowdhury_sajaysaini7 жыл бұрын
Rakesh Kumar plz try to understand...the vanes of this turbine are designed in such a way that when water strikes and gets deflected it makes an angle of 165degree...because it may be that in this angle water is able to make the blade rotate in best manner.
@funnygifs80557 жыл бұрын
