I really enjoy the Peranakan culture as I am a Malay myself. Hopefully the new generation Peranakans will be able to defend their culture, as the Malay culture is already eroding currently. For me, I really enjoy making Peranakan-Malay cuisine which are taught by my own matriarchs: my grandma and mom. Anyway, this instrumental piece is from the Malay song Si Paku Lanang.

Interestingly, the earlier Nyonya baju panjang is made from songket. Must get some songket for myself to make a shirt.
