Absolutely love watching you work. Remember the smell of pencils, ink, paper and Bristol Board. The freedom of relaxed thought in a near meditative state. Sense of accomplishment throughout each step of a piece. Your descriptions of what you're thinking, doing,.. the process you've honed with your style is simply exquisite. So very inspiring and a fantastic teaching aid for an aspiring artist. The epitome of giving back! Much respect and admiration!

in this AI and tablets times, is very interesting to see You using traditional (if not old and forgotten by the young generation) instruments for drawing. And or course, Your great control over the ink brush, its just a dream to see it happening for an amateur like me. Thanks!

You are so extremly skilled. Its obvious you put enourmous amounts of time honing those skills which inspires us to work harder to close the gap. It is such a joy seeing you work and your videos are well done. The fact that you have only 11k subs is a crime. You are way better than a majority of the most watched on YT. This world makes no sense sometimes.

Blick was out of W&N seeries 7. so I randomly got the exact same Princeton brush. Now I'm not as bummed out with having a synthetic brush, after seeing what you can do with it. Thnx!😄

Thanks for sharing your process with us!! I already follow you on Instagram so seeing full videos on how you make your art is awesome. A question for you, do you feel like the Ron boards take the ink well from micron and Sakura pens? I’ve been looking into getting Ron boards and I use those technical pens and I’m afraid of ink bleeds and blotching because I’ve experienced that with other boards I’ve used. Thank you again
@SiyaOum4 жыл бұрын
I use tech pens on Eon boards . I used a couple of different pens in this video. Which brands have you used in the past and do you know the weight of the paper?

This is awesone ! How did you draw the buildings in perspective? Did you use vanishing points and a ruler?

Yes, I did use perspective lines. It's 3-point perspective and I did the guides in light blue color-erase colored pencil. Thank you!

Real nice. Did you do the perspective grid in Photoshop and print it out in blue line on the paper? I'm trying to figure out what to do for my own work. I overthink....
@SiyaOum2 жыл бұрын
I did it with a ruler. I thought about using photoshop but something about lines I can't erase on the paper bothers me when I see the actual artwork.

did you consider using Dip Pen, Tachikawa?
@SiyaOum4 жыл бұрын
I do have dip pens, but the desk I was using was so small I ran the risk of spilling/knocking it over. It would be fun to revisit again soon!

What Brush u use and the size number? Is the thinnest line of the brush the same like 0.5 mm pen or smaller?
@SiyaOum2 жыл бұрын
This is the BRUSHES: Princeton Velvet Touch Round #2 Brush amzn.to/2X6z8mv I wouldn't say it's like an 05 lead but it's very thin.and varies quite a bit depending on the amount of ink and pressure you use.

Siya, why not go straight from blue lines to inks? Why bother to pencil when your blue lines are so clean/tight? I feel like you could skip a whole step and save some time.

I love that you still draw traditional. To me drawing straight to the computer loses the soul of the art. You lose those ( what I call) happy accidents.
@SiyaOum4 жыл бұрын
I totally get that! That's why I still do traditional art. It makes "mistakes" mean more, and it's very fulfilling to know it's one of a kind. Even though, I do love my iPad Procreate. :D
