Hi, thank you for doing this video, the tips were all very helpful :-) Another tip could be... don't ever compare your work to any one else. Everyone colors differently and in their own unique way (I speak from experience ;-) ) It's good to look at and get ideas from other artists but it's also easy to become discouraged. Try to remember you're coloring for fun and relaxation and not to impress anyone. Now to take my own advice..

I love this video. You are so encouraging and all things seem possible with my coloring. I'm one that gets stressed out when picking out a color palette so maybe do some videos where you color flowers by combining say 4 colors or more and do a color along. Tell the color names and or numbers please. Thank you ☺️

that is a great idea! I'll add it to the list for 2017. Hopefully you can build up your confidence in choosing colors. If you haven't watched it yet, check out this video where I use a scarf as the inspiration for my color palette: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3fOqqF9nbqVgsk Using everyday objects might help you gain that confidence :) Thanks again for watching, I really appreciate it! @@unicorn-ek4pf I know this is a long time after your comment, but I just saw it so I checked out those sites and I wanted to say they look like they will be very useful. They have color combos that I've never used and probably wouldn't have ever thought of using, but they look fun to try. It was very nice of you to tell the OP about them. I wouldn't have ever thought to look for sites like that. I will definitely be looking at them again in the near future. :)

Hi! This was a very helpful video! Thank you for making it! I have a question about making a color i may not yet own.(i have not colored one stroke yet.) Let's say I'm mixing red and blue. Would I do a complete layer of one color and then go over it again to make it purple? Does it make a difference with pencils as to which color to start with? And, would you use the same light, hold the pencil way back, light strokes? Thank you so very much for clarifying this for me! I am going to subscribe for your videos and blogs if you have one. 💜

Hello! Welcome to the world of adult coloring! I highly suggest a few things: 1) don't be hard on yourself, you certainly aren't messing anything up if you're enjoying yourself 2) I recommend checking out a digital/printable coloring page service like coloringbookcafe.com where you can print coloring pages on demand. Its nice to re-print it and start over if you don't like the direction it's going. Good luck!

@IcoKirov7 жыл бұрын
lately i'm thinking to get into that adult coloring... as a kid i liked to draw but never got serious with it. so i'm not very knowledgeable. so, what kind of pencils should i start with... I search around the local websites that sell pencils to get an idea of what is selling. i don't think going for the very expensive ones like the Polychromos is a good idea, since i'm not even sure how long will i stick with this hobby... plus the Prismacolor pencils that most youtubers use are not sold in my country. But i also don't want to buy some pencils that are for the kindergarten and are basically trash. Seems like the Faber Castell are the most widely spread here, so i guess i will go with some of them... i guess the Castle line is for kids, and i will avoid it, so should i go with the Classic? or maybe bump a bit the money and go with the Grip or Art Grip? Also what is the difference between standard color pencils and akvarel/watter color pencils, from what i understand the Grip are akvarel pencils.

Hello there! Great question. While you color, have you tried listening to music or having a show or Netflix on in the background? I do podcasts most of the time, and I really am able to focus on the noise and one what i'm doing in order to truly use it to relax. I hope you find what works for you!
