After all of the QB injuries as of late i was having a panic attack about goff getting demolished by Crosby. Sewell and the rest of the O Line did fantastic against him. Maxx is one hell of a player and keeping him in check is a huge feat.

Now that the end of the season is here, not only was he the best right tackle, he was the best olineman this year by a pretty respectable margin. Trent Williams has been king for almost 10 years, he was de-throned this season. Penei is a beast.

I have never seen an offensive tackle that has the speed and quick feet that Sewell does. As soon as the ball is snapped is has cut off the outside angle and is sitting and waiting for the rusher. Doesn’t have to catch up. He has the athleticism of a tight end.

Maxx got the best of Penei once during that game. Other than that, the only times Maxx was in the backfield was when it was by design or Penei had to let go of him or be charged with a holding penalty. There's a reason he was crowned the best olineman this year. Unreal talent. Brad Holmes and the Lions scouting staff have been cooking over there.

That's why I love running backs that can run a 4.3 instead of a 4.5. just like that 27-yard touchdown Montgomery wouldn't have been able to make that, unless he was to run over the Db or make him miss altogether!

What a GREAT Trenches show down but if we gotta be honest, Sewell got 8-10 snaps. Only time Crosby got the best of the o-line is when Sewell wasn’t on him…. Or Gibbs couldn’t find a hole and Max was right there… The way Sewell tips his shoulders down and made his body wider every time Max tried to spin or any move is crazy and Max motor is even crazier. Most of the big plays Crosby made he was unblocked. One one of those runs they asked Sam LaPorta to solo block him. I don't understand why you wouldn't account for that guy wherever he goes. It's one thing if you are going to use his aggressiveness against him, but you can't run right at him, not block him, and expect that to go well.

Idk why Crosby was doing those huge stunts where he looped around so long he did nothing. Also some of Crosby’s best moves and wins had no effect whatsoever on the play. But similarly Sewell stonewalled him a couple times and the play went nowhere anyway. A team game overall obviously. both did well but I can’t help but hate all the looping Crosby was doing. Running himself out of the play. If it’s called, it was bad and if not, wtf man you were doing well without it.
