Penei is a beast and an incredible leader and he's only 22. Watch his pre game huddle talks to the team. They are epic. Most 3rd year players aren’t exactly looking to dip on the team that drafted them so early in their career 2) he’s having great success playing alongside a couple other stellar O-linemen (Ragnow & Decker) so why mess with good chemistry? 3) I’m not sure how big of an NFL fan you are because this feels kinda redundant to say but umm there’s barely a handful of teams that are currently better than the lions. They’re not only fairly young but they’re also set up to contend for a SB for a nice long stretch. I admit, the lions have been the worst franchise in all of sports for decades so I’m assuming you’re going by that when you ask why he doesn’t wanna play for a ‘better team’.
