Gavin, good job, you're wearing "flip flops" to protect your feet from all that flying masonry 😂😅

We in the Northern Hemisphere forget sometimes it is summer Down Under! Looks so beautiful. Filthy weather here, lots of wind and rain and cold and it is only 2 C. My friend in Ottawa has it worse. Minus 22c and heavy snow predicted. Enjoy your summer as much as I enjoy your videos. Best wishes and happy new year to you and your family.

OH MAN! I'm already tired of wearing insulated clothes and temperatures hovering around 5° Fahrenheit. 🤬🤬 Gavin, you're making me jealous, I wanna wear flip flops again. (Without getting frostbite) 😄😁😃😄 Good job getting the blockage out. 👍👍

I am surprised there was slurry in the storm water. Usually it in the sewage line from the tilers in the bathroom. Great work in the rain. Probably still hot and humid.

I had to dig down 5 feet at my first house for the plumber to replace a gully pit that the tilers washed out their buckets into (and blocked the P-trap). Broke his eel trying to clear it. Jetters weren’t really around back then, but maybe a meter might have been able to blast through it. Fortunately that plumber was like a bulldog - once we had the evidence in hand (pipe section) he went after the tiler and got them to cover his labour, new end for the eel, and new pipe parts. He couldn’t quite get them to cover my time to dig it up.

Gavin, you need to send cards to all the concrete finishers and thank them for the work. You and Ollie both seem to get lots because of them. Love the opening scene, you should throw up a map with a pin so that we know where you were.

With the proximity to the driveway (and boundary) that one to the right is likely to be the neighbour’s stormwater from that side of their house.

As a professional plumber, I never leave trash at the customers house. Even if it’s stuff like that, I carry a 5 gallon bucket or the big black contractor bags and I throw it all away. It makes you look less professional, throwing stuff into their trashcan, then to just take it with you and dispose of it yourself. Personal opinion of a plumber of 18 years.
@nicolad88223 күн бұрын
It costs a lot for a professional to dispose of waste in many places. Why should he detour to the dump or fill up his own bins? Bigger companies with a depot might keep a skip on site but it’s very common in the UK for example for the homeowner to get rid of waste and packing boxes etc themselves. If a contractor takes it you may well be charged extra.
@carolrice20633 күн бұрын
And also the Customer needs to see what is the reason for having the problem with the Drainage and Then him saying what it was they may not even believe it ? But with him leaving the evidence of the problem at the Trash bin they have the best explanation of what the problem is......
