Agree :) that final segment she explained so clearly about how a hydrogen atom has a polarizing affect that can both bond and unzip other anatomical structures such as DNA and RNA transcripts, proteins, etc because of its very weak interaction, makes me instantly think of elemental particle neutrino which also interacts via the weak force (yet, almost massless, with no charge, makes it pass through other matter virtually undetected, unless a tidal disruptive event occurs and high energy neutrinos are created) and if neutrinos could work in a similar bonding and unzipping fashion with electrons and/or gravity or the hypothetical graviton or vice versa as a possible explanation for dark matter? Thanks again for the fun and very well presented, memorable lesson.

These videos are the best beginners lessons for chemistry I could find. You introduce the concepts with simplicity and the lesson is not cluttered with unnecessary detail that won't be understood by a beginner. There are other good introductions out there but a lot of them just spit out all these small unnecessary facts that can just overwhelm you.

Very good and educational video! I would just want to add that an atoms desire to give, take or share one or more electrons is determined by their electronegativity. In the video you said "electron affinity" (which is also right) but it's just halv of the "truth". It is easier to understand atoms ability to bond with eachother if you know their electronegativity. Beacuse then you can see what bond the atoms will have between them. Maybe it's over the top but it's important in understanding the bonds between the atoms. Otherwise, excellent video!

Science always fascinated me but I always felt like I wasn't good enough to understand it in depth. Thanks to your videos I feel more confident and I like it even more. The way you teach is a priceless example to me because I'm studying to be a school teacher, and I can be as funny, encouraging, clever and creative as you are, all my students are going to love science) Thank you so much for the work you put in your videos.
