You really benefit me with your videos especially when I don't understand the lessons I'm learning in biology during class,I just come home and watch your vids and by doing that I automatically understand!!! You are great at explaining things in a way that students can understand easily and I grasp the information quickly from you! Your students are so lucky to have you as their teacher Thank you for all your help Keep up the good work!!

Educational video for basic Mendelian genetics. However, if you are referring to the genetic mutation in cats known as "Dominant White" where the cat is purely white with blue eyes, it is actually dominant over all other colors.

Love from the UK!! your video was awesome. The Genetics module is usually very dreary in my class, and i absolutely loathed Punnet squares and Dihybrids. Thank you for your video!!

My college biology teacher uses your videos as a learning tool and they are really helpful. However, whomever provided the closed captions for this video did a terrible job, and I rely heavily on those when viewing videos.

6:09 I'm a bit hesitant of the third hypothesis and using that for my notes, since codominant traits and you didn't exactly address that part. Codominant traits are still considered heterozygous, is it not?

as an fyi, sex chromosomes... well there's been a lot of research showing that "sex chromosome" is not a good term since sex is a lot more more complicated. If you're going to specifically call out examples that arent simple genetics but taught as if they are, thats one that should be included. The video is from 2012 so no hard feelings or anything, just a comment for people who are scrolling around.

Other terms for a sex chromosome include: allosome, heterotypical chromosome, heterochromosome, or idiochromosome... but none of those is in common use.
