To anyone who feels bad for this guy for being an alcoholic, let me tell you something. I am also an alcoholic and drug addict, I have 6 months sober. Although I had no control over using and drinking, I could control my actions. Not my motor functioning or what is intelligent or stupid. However there have been many times I was blacked out drunk with other women who are blacked out and I have liked and I never groped them, I never sexually harassed them, I never raped them. The idea that alcohol controls your actions is bullshit. It affects your mood, your motor functions, cognitive abilities, but you are still able to know right from wrong. For example I knew driving drunk was wrong but I still did it. Im lucky to be alive and not have any duis, and to anyone struggling, recovery is possible guys. Edit: Quick update, I didn’t really keep track of a “sobriety date” and I ended up relapsing at a wedding (Had one glass of champagne, not major but still a setback). So now I keep track of my birthday because it’s easier for me. So as of now I have 3 months sober. Will post again at a year if I remember Edit: Fuck it’s been a year??? Still sober
