Great beginners guide! Good job showing what she can do and her general game plan. Heres a couple of things I've learned with around 12 hours as peni When starting out, dont worry about the amount of kills you get, learn how to take space while spreading your web terrain, even with low kills there are times where you'll win just because you forced so much space for your team. She's one of the best tanks at forcing space for the team and if you can get good at that then you will have an easier time as a solo tank on matches and be able to help out your team no matter the situation. Her ult is not something you should prioritize getting kills with, use it for survival and disruptions, if your healers die, as long as you ult correctly you can stay in the fight long enough for them to respawn and join back. Dont just pop it the moment you get it. Its one of the best disruptive ults in the game too, not as good as jeff's in that regard but still really good at running around and messing up the enemy team's coordination. She works best with a dive type tankers like hulk/venom/cap she can chill on point and be really defensive against anyone that pushes it while the diving tank can take out the backline. Once you get a point it's incredibly difficult for the enemy to take it back from you, she is the best at "this is my house play by my rules" have your zone set up and either lure the enemy in for kills or use mines and webs to force their escape paths to still lead to a kill. Tossing spider mines into team fights is an effect way to get good damage and spread it out, during a large team fight its hard for them to pay attention to and break your mines on purpose, youd be surprised the amount of kills you get with those, especially if you get decent at tossing some behind the enemy team so as your team puts pressure on them they'll back up into the mines. If Jeff ults are something you hate, you'll be regularly happy when he tries it but all your spider drones from the little turret zone swarm him and kill him mid ult. Your spider turret thing has a large cooleown if it runs out of health but its cooldown is based off of its remaining health, its much better to manually remove it when the enemy knows to shoot it before going in on you so you have less cooldown on it. While she has great synergy with other dive tanks on her team, she is ironically, one of their biggest counters since her playstyle revolves around a trapper ideology so be sure to pay attention to any pings behind you of enemies diving in your backline She is obviously going to be weaker against more poking oriented enemies, widow, magneto and hawkeye for example are all strong against her. Your own counter to that is making them unable to approach your zone and using cover and webbings to safely annoy them while keeping the damage they deal negligible. You wont outright kill them often but its a team game and the best you can do in that situation is either annoy them to the point of making the mistake of going to you or being a large enough unkillable target so your team can handle them. Peni has her biggest strength in being able to take an area as her own and that means its your team's space, even when taking a point from the enemy that already has it, dont rush in, plan the timing and push in methodically as you move your zone closer and closer to the capture point until its yours. Now, will anyone actually read this and learn anything? Probably not but maybe i helped one person be better at my favorite character

Shes so anti dive. I put her nest behind a corner and put a lot of mines near a choke point or wherever they need to go through to cap point and as soon as they hit the cluster of mines they’re done for.

I feel like she'll get a nerf. The fact I've been able to get MVP 3 times since release day. If you're good at protecting your bionic spider nest and have good healers, it almost feels there's nothing people can do to counter it besides certain ultimates.

I think people just need better threat assessment. Ive had games where I was focus fired for even peeking out while using Peni and I had the nest down and a Jeff babysitting me and I die within seconds and the advance falls apart.

People just underestimate the mines. They just walk in and have no idea how much damage they gonna take. I don’t feel like she is nerf worthy simply because people don’t know to fight against yet

When running her ult van you just hold the triggers, or left and right click on mouse, or do you have to keep pressing them to release the mines and do the spider sweep

Don’t remember hearing you mention this, but you as Penni is immune to enemy web stun while in your ult.

If you CC most of those immune characters in the initial windup of their ultimate, you cancel their ultimate and put it on cooldown.
