Love the R22 and the 66 is an amazing evolution of the classic Robinson design that fits well into the niche between piston engine 44 class and the entry level turbine such as 206 etc.

I saw my first at The Big E exposition in West Springfiled, Massachusetts. It listed according to the sign for $40,000. I believe Robinson sold one helicopter from the week long event. $40,000 was the cost of a Chevy Corvette and within 8 months the price went to $50,000.

A bit confused. If they only started manufacturing in 1979 then how did they build 1000 R22 in one year ?

Excellent video and what hard working and dedicated men Kurt and Frank Robinson are for building a successful Helicopter company in California. They could have easily moved the company to a foreign country and doubled their profits. Make America Great Again. Peace, Law and Order.
