Penistone Station

A look at the history around this well used station, situated between Barnsley and Huddersfield. Originally part of the Woodhead Route, trains through the Woodhead Tunnels ceased in 1981.
There's still a lot of relics to be found, around the disused platforms.

National Grid now run power cables through the tunnel at Woodhead.

@wetdogFBK ...they can always move cables! Line to Friargate via Breadsall would be an excellent and well used route. Oh and so beautiful. Thank you for your videos.
