If you really know CT you'd realize that his heart problems happened long before he tried steroids. He ate like 8 cheeseburgers a day in his power lifting days. Blame drugs all you want the shit he was eating combined with pushing his heart beyond healthy limits led him to have multiple heart surgeries. CT admits he did roids once but he ate multiple cheeseburgers every damn day for years. Let's be real here his heart problems started with bad dieting. Now that he's a muscle bound old man nobody wants to point out the cheeseburger shit.

CT admitted his doctors kept trying to get him to stop for years but every time they did he kept going. The man literally won't quit til he's dead. Now some might call it stupid others might call it inspiring. I just gotta say I wish I was half as dedicated to anything as CT is to the iron.
@odins_asylum42216 жыл бұрын
JimboParadox he admitted he did steroids once but in his power lifting days he was all natural. But he was fat and strong eating so many cheeseburgers a day and lifting for hours. He said steroids fucked him up and that he doesn't want to do them again. The steroids didn't fuck up his heart though it was years of eating McDonald's after every workout and putting his body to the breaking point after multiple heart surgeries. The steroids was a one time thing but the greasy ass burger diet and over training was for years. He claims it's not over training but that's just him. To a normal person what he does is too much

I have read some of the comments here and most of them keeps on saying that his form is wrong, that he is not using the full range of motion, that the only reason why he is as big as he is it’s because of good genetics and steroids. Now, although I may not know if this guy is on steroids or not or if his genes are great or not, there is one thing I do believe. No matter how much steroids you pump yourself and no matter how good your genes are, you’ll not reach his level of physic if you don’t have a strong mental attitude and discipline. That is what CT is teaching, if you watch his 10 commandments video, he explains there the kind of mental mindset you need to have to achieve your goals and that all bodies are different, what works for him may not necessary work for you and that is why he advises his audience to experiment through trial and error, listen to your body and see what works for you. To not be afraid to go outside of the normal norms of standard or textbook bodybuilding principles because there is really no one size fits all principle out there. That being said, he exercises the way he does because that is what works for him and the fact that he has the physic that he has, means it works for him.

I wonder after seeing so many use what most would call bad form - maybe form is not as important as we think. Staying injury free is obviously a concern, but is it all really down to the drugs and genetics. Maybe so, but so many huge guys use very loose form, from Bertil Fox to Johnny Jackson and our man CT here, maybe the most important thing is the weight, pump and constant tension.
@wbl20129 жыл бұрын
True. It's about extension. What people typically consider "good form" is a fully elongated fulcrum but that only effects weight not pump. These guys being all mousy in the gym with their perfect form walk back to their muscle mags all flat, meanwhile the guy only trying to get pumped is getting "yoked as a motha fucka"! Haha
@stu73ke9 жыл бұрын
Are you talking about blood occlusion perhaps? Keeping the tension on by not having that brief pause at full extension or contraction? I can see how that would greatly increase the pump, and if combined with a heavy weight... I believe Sergio Oliva trained this way and so did Nubret though he did go lighter but with many many sets.
@wbl20129 жыл бұрын
I can attest. Went the better part of 10 years without making any real gains and then managed to work my way into something like you're talking about and for the last 12 months I finally look like a lift 4x a week.

He only uses the ROM necessary to build the muscle up, not satisfy your needs for what he should be doing. He's bodybuilding, form doesn't mean shit to him. He just does what it take to grow, doesn't give a fuck what you think or whether or not he's going down far enough.

I absolutely love Penitentiary arms. Is there any way you can put together a Penitentiary routine? Something with more calisthenics so I can do it at home? I would love to see it.

People think steroids are reason he has this f’ing body like him, it doesn’t work like that children, steroids enhance’s you, it doesn’t replace work outs and diets and dedication and hard mean WORK, Don’t be petty because you don’t have this mans dedication and discipline to achieve what he did.
