I’ve got one. And a fathom 30 single speed. The fathom 30 is my go to on 20/30 gear. The 25 is perfect on 12/20. And with you in lever drag!

Soooo tempted to get (at least) one of these. Like so many, I've only ever used star drag. But the ability to 'see' precisely what setting you are on at any time is incredibly handy. My 'go to' deeper sea reel is a very old Abu (9000C) so does have two gears, but it's an auto box and you feel it change up/down depending on pressue on the line. Looks like the Penn is now switched to version 2, hence the price increase. Also looks like it's no longer in a black case; just silver.

Hey Mike, I managed to get one from Simpson’s in the black but I highly recommend getting one they’re brilliant reels matey 💪🏻

@theamputeeangler I like smaller reels ,and it still have enough to do all the fishing ,think it has the same drag as the 25
