I’ve seen Criss Angel live many times and yes of course on TV he does have editing but live I’m gonna have to say it racks your brain how he does the illusions and tricks. And yes we all know every magician is doing tricks and illusions and there’s trickery and misdirection involved, but it’s pretty amazing how they do it. I’ve seen Penn & Teller live as well and it’s no different, they’re the same as Criss Angel in what they do, so for him to rag on Angel is pretty shitty because he is exactly the same.

There's actually a shocking number of magicians that also like to fuck underage kids. Shit look at you, all these years later and you still act spellbound....but I guess he just has that special way with most kids. I guess I was lucky that even as a kid it was obvious he'd never be able to do ANY of that bullshit if not on tv. Guy's a fucking creep and is unquestionably fond of raping kids, at this point it's more accurate to say "CHILD RAPIST with allegations he was a magician". Nobody else like him? Go to an old school magic store, and watch them try and sell you a 8 $ card trick, cups and balls, a card trick, on the black padded table using their hands, it will blow your mind and you will be completely lost on how the trick was done, and Teller touched on this, it should be the base line in a magic trick, how did they do it? Chris Angels tricks would take a three year old to figure

I saw David Copperfield at the Fox Theatre in Buckhead (Atlanta). I’ve see a lot of magicians but his show was spine tingling. I love magic and am weird I guess as I don’t want to know how it’s done. I just like believing in magic. Penn and Teller warp my brain cells. I love them.

Copperfield actually did do a lot of illusions though. As Penn noted, it just means a certain type of magic performance, there's illusions and there's tricks, Copperfield is actually one of the bigger illusionists. Some of his most famous performances like making the statue of liberty disappear are illusions.

Dynamo is the "editing room" magician, even more so than Angel. Watch just about any of his televised tricks and go through them one frame at a time, you'll see how many different editing tricks are used. He is really a hack in the worst sense of the word. JW3HH

I went to Chris angels show in December of last year,it was awesome.i wasn't sure about it at first , read reviews etc etc,a lot like the ones on here,but went anyways,bought the cheapest seats we could , 64 bucks I think,right before the show,there were a few seats not sold,so a woman came and asked me and my girlfriend , and the 3 other people if we would follow her,so we did,got 3rd row seats,saw everything , exciting ,it was a great show,so if you haven't seen him live , go check it out,we had a lot of fun

If you're entertained by someone, it doesn't matter how they do what they do, as long as you're having fun. If you go back and look at older material between Criss and Penn, they're thick as thieves and very complimentary of each other. Why is Penn slamming on Criss now? I promise you, it has nothing to do with video effects or edits or who is the better magician. That's just HOW Penn is going on the offensive. WHY is Penn going after Criss with such obvious hatred? We're probably never going to see behind the curtain on that one. One thing is obvious, Criss and Penn used to give each other tons of professional respect. Now they don't. You have to realize that the strangers Chris appears to meet randomly on the street aren't actually strangers. They're people he knows that are part of his act. In fairness it's important to note that when David Copper Field does a trick like making and airplane or the Statue of Liberty disappear the 25 or so people sitting on bleachers watching are actually members of the show's crew not actual audience members.
