Anyone know if this is still for the Govenor's Victory Bell? I know with the new schedule PSU doubled down on "Unrivaled".

I've seen a lot of comments since Ohio State defending Franklin on the fact that "he wins the games he's supposed to" ... since when is beating the teams you are better than but losing in virtually all of the big games a ringing endorsement? And my main gripe with him is his lack of maturity, as several times he's confronted fans. Really? If a head coach of a major program can't take a little criticism ... from fans in the stands no less ... then what's it show his team as to how to act and his maturity level. Sad. I also have some knowledgable friends who were close to the Vanderbilt program when he left for Penn State ... and he did so with a total lack of class and maturity in dealing with the players he was leaving in that program. Scorecard: Very good recruiter. A-. Game coach: D. Maturity and Class: F

Look at Brian Kelly for lack of class, when he left Cincinnati(when it was headed for a bowl) for ND and then left ND for LSU (where he is flopping).

I’m not a Franklin supporter or detractor. If he left tomorrow I wouldn’t care…if he stays PSU is still really good and really consistent. What people do not understand is that if the university does not want to go all in to win that won’t. See OSU. Ryan Day isn’t a great coach, has lets downs like everyone else, but the talent gap overcomes those instances more then PSU. You are comparing apples to oranges.

Not one question…NOT ONE…since Ohio State….44 has touched the ball ad nauseam….and during Ohio State BARELY touched it. It’s a COMPLETE slap in the face to fans and people that live and care about the program.

What are you talking about? He learned from that game and gave him the ball more? wtf do you want him to be asked?

Fans seem to think these are a forum to flog James Franklin publicly. Also, he was asked directly about that after the game and then the following Monday.

I am sure they probably just got too cute with the play calling we learn and move fwd. This season is NOT about OSU only. It's get to the playoff, and anything can happen. Take a deeeep breath.

There's a common thread through all the games that Penn State has lost when they had a good chance to win. That thread is James Franklin. Coach K would not have called those idiotic plays in the OSU game if he hadn't been directed to do so by Franklin.

Franklin may have learned how not to lose but he hasn’t learned how to win yet in big games.
