Why are we having wrestlers make scratch weight for this event it should be like a 5 lb allowance or skip weigh ins all together
@CroMagJohnsonКүн бұрын
the season has already started. why would they give an allowance?
@ep6305Күн бұрын
@CroMagJohnson because this isn't an official match and it's for fun for the wrestlers. Forcing good wrestlers to cut weight for an event like this is counterintuitive. Probably makes good wrestlers a reason to turn down the event in the 1st place. These wrestlers have to make weight enough time why make them cut water weight for something like this
@CroMagJohnson15 сағат бұрын
@@ep6305 they shouldn't be cutting much weight at this point is my point. they should already be within 2 - 3 pounds of scratch weight.
@ep630511 сағат бұрын
@CroMagJohnson probably not the reality though you want to be a national champ and other guys are bigger than you if you dont you you have to cut some weight. Particularly at the lower weights especially like if you walk around 140 your going to down to 133 or 125 not wrestling 141.
@CroMagJohnson10 сағат бұрын
@@ep6305 maybe at the start of the season. but after you make weight the first time you aren't going back up 7 or 8 pounds before your next weigh in unless there are several weeks . yo-yo-ing weight like that isn't good for you and in the long term affects your body's ability to perform when you are constantly cutting 7 or 8 pounds for every weigh in.

Bad call in 2nd period: K should have been credited with a TD and 3 pts. Later Starocci got similar on the edge points. The NCAA finals are not a given. Kekeisen could beat up on him. Starocci's has in his career had a fairy ride--never any trouble. Now he has opposition.

There’s not a single point where it’s even debatable if Keck got a takedown. Starocci objectively had a takedown in OT. Those positions weren’t similar at all. Also, Starocci went into SV with Kemerer as a freshman to win a title. The next year he went into rideouts against Mekhi. He beat two national champions with an injured knee in close matches last year.
