Pribula stepped up big time when it counted the most. It's one thing to get in the game every so often, it's another thing to be THE MAN. Pribula engineered two second-half time-consuming and game-winning drives. He put Wisconsin away as the team made one first down after another. Pribula was special.

There wasn't really a time where I felt Penn State wasn't in control. They started a little slower as usual. But, they always looked like they were just hiding their time. Even when Pribula came in, anyone who has seen him play expected him to do well.
@boybrushedred18Ай бұрын
I felt the exact same way. The first drive Wisconsin got the fg, a fluke 3rd down and the punt whatever. Them having the lead 10 7 at half, whatever we are a second half team anyway. Second half came and there was never a doubt. I did get a bit worried about all the injuries though.
@nathanp9684Ай бұрын
real, my dad and I are big Pribula fans. I was for sure nervous when drew went down but damn did he come in and show that he is very capable of taking advantage of a defense playing absolutely lights out in the second half. great team effort for a gutsy road win against a stout badger squad
@georgesealy4706Ай бұрын
Hmmm. . . I was not so sure. Penn State made mistakes in the first half and Wisconsin was playing well. Sometimes the ship doesn't get righted in time to save it. Pribula's entrance seemed to energize the team and give them more focus.
@dennishouston31Ай бұрын
It wasn't that close seemed like Penn state controlled most of the game. They definitely looked like a much better team
@jamesreckardiv9336Ай бұрын
Not sure if I agree, I was definitely stressed going into halftime with Allar being out. But, I knew that eventually Locke would make a big mistake and our defense would make a play like they almost always do. At the end of the day, good game by Penn State and honestly a decent performance by Wisconsin too. I don’t think you can be upset as a Badger, hung around in the first half, eventually got sold by your young backup QB, but still made it a game for a good portion of the time.

We are not a sack rush - PSU is a pressure rush & really good against the run. We are controlled against the pass game - making the QBs throw quickly, and we’re not so focused on sacks that we don’t stop the run. It’s working - I’m not worried about lack of sacks - the QBs are wary & afraid - and that has great effect.
@mstretanski1Ай бұрын
Agree with other comments. PSU was never really in danger. Defense is VERY good.

Great adjustment by Tom Allen at halftime. He backed off blitzes and dropped more into coverage. That's how they got pick 6. Also, one way to combat a quick throwing QB......get your hands up.

This wasn’t close. There’s 4 quarters to a game. What game did that guy watch?
@heartbreak25Ай бұрын
Wisconsin is a one read passing offense so the ball will be released before the rush gets home. USC does this, Illinois does this, and Bowling Green does this.
@DKYSportsliveАй бұрын
This game was not close. Badgers had two good drives all game. The defense let Allar go 12-14 before he got hurt. Badgers were awful in the second half. Penn State should have put more up in the first half. Also this is coming from a Badgers fan. Only thing they did good was special teams.

419 total yards to 298 total yards and 13 points margin when the odds were 6 points. yeah okay I guess in your minds it was close.

Wis. threw short all night. Never held the ball long enough for the pass rush to get a sack but they did rush the QB as was the case on the INT
@georgesealy4706Ай бұрын
When Pribula decides to run he is not fooling around. He has his head down and forward. He goes full speed and he doesn't slide either.

Ehh it was definitely a respectable game, but I wouldn’t say it was a close upset or the score didn’t reflect the game. Penn state really controlled the 2nd half.

OC is one of the highest paid ones in the country. Not going anywhere right now. No HC experience.
@drm9979Ай бұрын
I am sure he will get head coach offers but I hope he is someone who enjoys being the best OC in the country and not going to a role he might not be as happy in. Same with Tom Allen, brilliant DC but does he really want to give that up for an HC job? I hope not.

Unfortunately I think your right in that Andy K is not long for the Penn State world. He will get plucked really soon. Dude is an OC maestro.

Teams have decided all season to not hold the ball on throws for longer than 2.4 seconds. It's an intentional thing after the past years of sack happy games...their doing their job by completely affecting what teams are trying to do

The conversation in this video makes it seem like they definitely have not watched this game. The game was not closer than the score shows. And Penn State's pass rush has not been great all year... 🤷🤷🤷

Boy is Wisconsin offense bad. I complain about penn sts and the wrs all the time but Wisconsin like what were they doing QB probably should be benched. That Oklahoma RB while hard to tackle could get couple yards with his powerful legs after being hit just wasn't hitting holes or maybe was bad OL. Might of been worse offense seen PSU play all year lol.
@stretch141000Ай бұрын
Wisconsin's struggles on offense also had a lot to do with what was happening on the other side. Those boys in the all whites are incredible. Wisconsin offense has looked pretty good the weeks prior.
@dimitri1515Ай бұрын
In the second half, if we would have just got will nearly all passes, this game would have come down to the wire. We've never had an OC with enough balls to do it.
@dimitri1515Ай бұрын
You hit the nail on the head. Penn St. didn't have a great pass rush. So did UW pass? hell no....that would be smart. Nah, we thought it would be more fun to run for negative yards. Longo is just like every OC coach before him......claim they will "take what the defense gives him".....but literally does the opposite.
@johngetz8585Ай бұрын
They didn't have a pass rush because the badger QB was throwing with GREAT urgency..!! Just like USC and UCLA...! Take note, not a good way to win...

Good coaches make adjustments between halves. Great coaches make adjustments between series. PSUs second half adjustments are great, but Tom Allen needs to start making adjustments in the first half.
