@Hero Games The only similarity to Gaster he has is the fact that he's a dead scientist. Nothing else. He's clearly nowhere near as mysterious as Gaster, and I doubt he got shattered across time and space.

Giving -ScatMAN- Yoshi Kid and Pennington their own text scrolls and dialogue mugshots was honestly a great choice. Really drives home that these are still the Mario characters we know and love; it’s just the context that’s changed :) And have to say... never thought I’d say it, but Pennington might be into something here....

I don't think E. Gadd is dead, he's not the type to keel over and die from old age or from an attack, especially since it isn't made explicitly clear exactly how he died, or even if he just disappeared. Regardless, this chapter raises interesting developments and helps to draw the "Tale of Forced Peace" aspect of the story front and center; I can't wait to see where the story goes next.

No one is a reskin I kinda Understand why Daisy is Basically the Undyne of this au But Reason why Mario and Luigi aren't reskins because if you read the whole Series Mario Gives You more advice than sans does in game Mario and Luigi built a sewer system Plus Luigi If you think about it he is more of a Mr. L mixed with Papyrus and a Little bit of Luigi, Luigi Does a Game Night basically like in the one mini game from DS but, Other Characters are basically their selves in this game besides the Main people

well yeah they arent a resking but some characters kinda feel a little forced, not forced, its just that would you really think of mario as a lazy man? In the games and the comics (yeah, there was a comic) mario is pictured as energetic saying WAHOO! and that type of stuff or even calling himself the MIGHTY Mario. Yes, in a comic made by nintendo i think it was on 90s or early 2000s mario called himself as the mighty mario just as how papyrus calls himself the great papyrus. its just that i cant see mario as a lazy person and luigi as too innocent, after all he has gotten the negative zone in smash brawl

From the FAQ: _While it would be rude to try to intentionally limit people’s creative freedom, especially since Undertoad is a fan creation in and of itself, we would rather people focus their creative efforts onto Undertoad itself. AU combinations are infamous for disrespecting and molding the source material into completely different things, and we honestly deal with that enough already as it is._ Besides, why tie your AU to Undertoad when you can make your own Mario x Undertale AU?

(If anyone on the Undertoad team is reading this, please correct me if I’m wrong.) It’s just something they’d rather not happen, because Undertoad has already been very distorted in the public conscious. Heck, there’s still a lot of people out there who don’t even know that Undertoad has a comic. I can understand why the creators want Undertoad to be accurately represented in fan material, and I hope people respect their wishes. Besides, even if the team’s answer isn’t a definitive no, my question still stands: why would you tie your AU to Undertoad, instead of doing your own take on the concept of a Mario/Undertale mashup? May I ask what you plan for your AU that would require it being a spinoff of Undertoad specifically?

I really like this AU but I don’t know what the canon character line up is for sure so I’ll just put a list of who I think the characters are (please correct me if I’m wrong) Flowey-piranha plant (wrong) [fire flower] Side characters like froggit,ice cap,etc.- goomba,koopa troopa,etc. [kinda right I guess] Napstablook- king boo or......a regular boo? [it was a regular boo so kinda right] Toriel-peach [wrong] (it was kammy) Sans-Mario (correct) Papyrus-Luigi (correct) Grillby-donkey Kong (wrong) [i forgot who grillby was but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t donkey kong] Monster kid -Yoshi (not entirely wrong) Undyne-daisy (correct) Gaster-Dr E. Gadd (erm....it’s a possibility but I’m not too sure) Alphis-Kamek (mystery) Mettaton-Waluigi (mystery but probably wrong) Muffet-wario (wrong it was donkey Kong) Asgore-bowser (correct) Asriel-bowser jr. (correct I think) Chara-toad (correct I guess it really depends on how you look at it) Edit: I made corrections to the ones I was wrong on

So about undertoad, the og undertale cast isnt 'replaced' by the mario characters. So its not mario=sans, more so original mario just happens to be in the same clothing and position as sans

Lucas Pucas well of course I knew I couldn’t just ask all my questions so I narrowed it down to that anyways I read the comic and I’m more interested than ever now so thank you for telling me about it lastly I do have one last question if Waluigi isn’t in mettaton’s place then where is Waluigi and Wario? Did they make it out of the battle? Or do they play an important role in the story?
