@pennsmithskincare -- you talked about DNA repair product - i'm wondering if you can confirm that the Estee Lauder night repair serum and the newer Eye serum has DNA repair in it? I recall way back you did an interview with Dr Yarosh and I believe he was the scientist that worked at estee...and i recall him saying it was DNA repair? Is that right? It's a bit more affordable than Photozyme (although still really expensive!...so just want to make sure it's worth using still!

I use everything by Chanel for a few months, once they are finished I use everything from Paula’s choice, then Tom Ford, then NIOD, then Elta MD, then Purito, then La Roche Posay. From 6 to 12 steps depending on the brand. Love it.

@@LaLapin1 yes, that’s been tretinoin directions (I’ve shared those directions in the past- specifically the waiting 20 minutes to avoid irritation) but what I’m saying is you don’t HAVE to put it on first for it to work. You can “sandwich” it between other things 🙂

Great information! Since you’ve now done an am and pm skincare routine video would you be willing to do a video on what procedures and lifestyle changes you’ve done in order to give a complete picture of how you’ve gotten to this point in your skin journey? I think that would be really helpful because as they say it’s not just what you put on your skin. I also think it would be fully transparent to talk about “all” the procedures even the ones you weren’t happy with? For example you said you didn’t like the side affects of the Ellacore procedure you had done but since it’s a skin tightening procedure I do think it should be mentioned. Thanks for all you do!❤
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE5 ай бұрын
There are videos on everything I’ve done, including ellacor (and actually 2 blog posts on ellacor too). I have almost 8 years of videos….mentioning everything I’ve already documented would be difficult. The only treatment this year I didn’t make a video on (but discussed) was a very superficial Ultraclear laser treatment. It was so light that there wasn’t much to show in a video. Otherwise I document it all in pretty detailed and vulnerable videos.

Hi Penn awesome video what products do you recommend for marionette lines?
@yuliam49474 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing 💐. So I learned from you that its absolutely safe to use my actives (peptides, ceramides, amino acids) with tretinoid in pm routine. Did I understand it, right?🌹

Wanted to add to my original comment, but couldn’t find it. 😆 I see you do offer a discount at PSC. Thanks ! 😃

Thank you!! So you mentioned in the previous comment that you just start with microcurrent-so you don’t cleanse when you wake up correct? Just the conductor, then microcurrent then cleanse and Led right? Thanks again!!
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE2 күн бұрын
Right! I haven’t had any issue with conductivity this way. If I felt pretty oily from skincare (like if I had piled on a night mask or something) I might have to wash first but that’s very rare ♥️

Fantastic video! You never miss. I was under the impression that copper peptides and Vitamin A conflict in the same routine. But, I see you use both in the same routine. I was alternating between the two. Could you please clarify that they are compatible? If so, I can't wait to start using my Tretonoin and NIOD Copper Peptides every night. Thanks in advance!
@hotrod66ify5 ай бұрын
Yes they can be used in conjunction with each other. I've been doing it for several years and like the results.
@cherrycoke32543 ай бұрын
It can cause additional irritation is my understanding. I still alternate them and also now layer them under my Tret. On non Tret nights I use a peel pad and wait an hour and do the rest of the night routine. Works for me!

@@cherrycoke3254When you use a peel pad and wait an hour, do you mist your face for an hour?

Great video! Always so informative and helpful. Question: I just started with Copper peptides, thanks to you. After I am using Dermtlgy Need-less serum. Which I've used for a long time. Should I use together like this, or alternate, not sure if I'm overdoing it on peptides.

Thank you so much for sharing your nighttime routine. If you have rosacea and want to follow the skin care routine that you were doing what other extra steps would you add or resort? Would there be anything that you would take away?
@fabiorein55855 ай бұрын
Dear Penn, your content is amazing! However I am being super simple: 100 layers of sunscreen during the daytime😅, good Bioderma cleanser after the sunset and tretinoin 0.05 every single night on my entire face, neck( I know I am the blessed one to be able to tolerate it there every single night), chest, hands.. and sometimes especially in the wintertime some simple fragrance free moisturizer… and all that for the last 5 years- and I’ll never stop that- my skin is amazing ✨ I love how much you know about skincare and how extra you are- I’m enjoying to watch you❤️ (I’m getting inspired by you so I maybe introduce some “extras” over time 🥰)🫶🏻

Penny thank you so much for this!!!❤❤❤❤ Question: do you cleanse your face after using the ZIIP device? Their gel is awfully thick and sticky. Or do you just wipe the gel off and go right to the next steps?

Hi Penny. Do you still recommend Queen 7 in 1? I wanted to buy Fadebright but I noticed they sell Emu oil. My understanding is the Emu must be killed to extract the oil and I can’t support a company that makes products that abuse animals. Not trying to guilt anyone but it’s an important part of my decision making choice.

I definitely still recommend the Queen!! I meant to list it!

And I will never, ever recommend emu oil. I wish they didn’t sell it.

You introduced my to Avene skincare products and have been using them ever since. They definitely help to calm my roscea, but don't do much for anti aging. Do you still use Avene? Also, I have bad sun damage on my chest, can I use all the products you mentioned in this video to help lessen the visible signs of that damage?

I don't see you using the Dermelect Self Esteem Beauty serum....are you still incorporating that as well? If not, what are you using now as an alternative?
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE5 күн бұрын
I do still use that one - it’s really *as needed* and when I do I just use it + a good moisturizer overnight (that’s the complete routine) ♥️

Vitamin c is not only an antioxidant. It is important for collagen production. And supplements are not guaranteed to reach skin on our face

You added microcurrent after cleansing but did you use a conducting gel and then wash it off and then add the rest of your routine?
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE3 күн бұрын
Right now I first do microcurrent THEN cleanse, use an acid toner, wait a few minutes to let it work, then DNA repair enzymes then LED. After LED I often use a mist or essence then vitamin C and SPF. ♥️

Have you ever layered the photoenzyme differently? do you feel any difference of efficacy in it being a first layer versus the third? so curious.
@PENNSMITHSKINCAREАй бұрын
I actually use photozyme youth recovery a few minutes after my acid toner (I wait just a few minutes in case the PH would mess with the liposomes in the youth recovery). Anyway, it’s essentially first now (as far as serums) and I am liking it that way best 💙 I have an updated am pm routine coming out this Saturday that I think will be helpful!

Hi there!! I typically like GF to go on first after cleansing. GF can be fragile so I also will wait a few minutes before moving on (this is just a me thing, you probably don’t have to…but they’re expensive so why not be extra careful lol) I’m so glad you’re here!
