I was so excited when I saw this on their website, I ordered it and although I really liked the application process and how nice the product felt on my skin, as soon as I put sunscreen on it pilled so bad, I had balls of product on my neck and jawline. I returned it because I couldn't get it to work. I do apply a lot of products so I guess that caused the pilling as well but now that I know not to pile on products I may reorder it and give it another try. Thanks for reviewing it.

Yep, has to be very little regular products (like one serum tops) if there’s sunscreen involved. And that sunscreen needs to be really lightweight and has to dry completely *then* this neck serum. It’s tricky, for sure!!

I think it is worth trying and use on those days when you are a bit too puffy, since this is more of a cosmetic thing. What concerns me is there is negative side affect, just like that Peter Tomas Roth under eye product that remove puffiness, but does more damage in the long run to the skin under your eyes.

Unfortunately, the neck serum didn't work for me. I tried this multiple times using all the tricks with less product, no creams or serums, etc. and my lines looked worse. My skin even looked creepy where it hadn't before. I tried it on the top of one hand for an easy comparison, and the untreated hand looked better. For now, I think my skin looks smoother with a moisturizer and a little bit of oil.

I like to just be very diligent with my facial skincare on my neck. There are very few dedicated neck products that are “worth it” or necessary. Using serums and moisturizers that we use on our face is perfect for our neck. I do think a product with glycolic, lactic or polyhydroxy acid in it a few times a week will help long term 💙

@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE it's the craziest thing that there are so few formulations for the upper eyelid, that's where we need it most. I had an upper bleph and just want to preserve it as long as I can. I also have Calecim's eye contour cream and that can be used for the upper eyelid as well and like the Peptight 360 it doesn't sting, but I mean the smell of their products is such a turn off. Calecim smells like vomit.

That should be totally fine. Try it again! I feel like it takes some fussing to get it right. Thin layer, quickly massage then let dry down 3+ minutes. I will say though If there’s not much to change you’ll not notice much change.

Hi Penny, I am making up my November sales list, most of which are products you recommended - thank you. But what I cannot find is a good daytime moisturizer with no hyaluronic acid in it that doesn't pill under make up. You mentioned that the Prequel multi quench serum is good under make up, but I suspect you don't mean to put make up on right over it. Doesn't it need a moisturizer? I already have the DRMTLGY peptide moisturizer (which I bought last year after you recommended it and am buying two more) and I suppose I could possibly use it over the Multi Quench and then apply foundation or something similar after that, but do you have other or better options? 73 years old (so it would be nice to have some actives in it); no hyaluronic acid because it's very dry here and it would just suck the moisture out of my skin; one that would be good under light make up or a skin tint and won't pill; and another perhaps a little heavier for no makeup days (ideally one that "blurs" and/or has a realistic "glow" to it.) I know that sounds like a lot of requirements, but shouldn't something like this be pretty commonplace? OK, adding a mineral SPF would make it perfect. Seems to me a great many people are likely looking for the same thing. Please help! Thank you.

Hmm now I'm wondering if this would also work well on sides of face one side of my face especially has really been bothering me lately from a few factors it's gotten loss of volume & the nasal smile line is much deeper looking wondering if this one would help lift it up a bit, even if temporary for a confidence boost. I had the Medi-Peel mezzo filla eye serum (from YesStyle) which has pullulan as the 8th ingredient. I didn't like it because it felt like a primer rather than a serum but it was tricky to layer with concealer. It was also rather perfumey. I chucked it. Now I wish I had saved it to try on my crepey neck 😑

Not really- this one is kind of a special occasion neck product (although you could use it every day if you wanted to). If you like their neck cream it’s in a different category in my mind- more of an every day neck skincare vs special use. 🧡

I think that one is ammonium silicate- I’ll go check. That’s like plexiderm and Peter Thomas Roth- they dry to a white powder. For me those products were extra challenging (although if used really really carefully with no other products they do smooth the skin!!)

Funny, I posted a comment and came back to edit it and it's gone??...Anyway, This is my partial post. My concern, is kind of like someone who loses alot of weight, gains it back and loses it again. The skin can look kind of stretched out. And I'm wondering if the shrinkage of the neck caused by a product, in the long run, might make the area worse. I know the temporary effects may be great, but just wondering about the constant push and pull of using it often. That it ultimately may loosen the skin. Do you understand what I'm talking about? What do you think? p.s. Geek Out of Water swears by these products: TightEye and TightNeck. I looked at the ingredients but could not see the ingredient you're speaking of in it, but the same type of effects.

I’m not sure about your first comment, I didn’t delete it! The product that GOOW is talking about uses silicates that dry down to a powder and shrink wrap the skin. Similar that way but otherwise very different bc they’re drying and Pullulan is a water binding, hydrating ingredient. Btw I really love her channel!! And yes, I totally get what you’re talking about with the skin. I don’t think these products shrink the skin enough to worry about stretching but I can see why you’d want to know!

Temporary tightening effects aside, I think you did an excellent job explaining the overall value of this product. 100% speculating here, but it seems like it would also be beneficial for those who experience neck irritation from tretinoin spread...acting like a super convenient, nourishing, barrier protector. My neck is so sensitive - I can hardly use anything on it. I try to use retinaldehyde on it 2x a week but even that irritates it. I’m just wondering how my super sensitive neck would do with this product?

Not really, the PTR uses ammonium silicate or magnesium silicate as the active ingredient. Those ingredients leave a white powder and are DRY. Pullulan (in the Drmtlgy) hydrates the skin and traps moisture. No white powder 🙂💙

@ awesome! There use to be a mask called Roloxin lift, it was a temporary effect one that did have a white base but you washed the mask off after ten minutes and the tightening effect still lasted for one day so it was like an amazing event prep mask and I’ve never been able to find anything the same again! The others need to stay on the skin so always seem to be messed up by skincare or makeup but this wash off one was crazy good. Did you ever try that one? Would love a dupe video if you did!

Exactly. I have had necklines since I was a teenager (over 60 now), and I thought they were beautiful on me, until I turned 55, then they started looking like wrinkles. So, attributing necklines to technology is far fetched. It is just the effects of loss of colagen as we age.

Yes it helps there a little. I didn’t show my friend’s well enough- she had 2 little under chin pieces and after the neck serum it was one (that’s a really bad description). Essentially it helped that under chin loose skin. Again though, just temporarily. 💙
