OH MY Gosh, I was so frustrated with my beautiful stiletto / seam ripper bc the spring had slipped to the middle therefor unable to keep the insert unit tight when closed in the tip. I have had this issue for several years and several months ago I misplaced the stiletto end ( couldn't remember where I put it to stay safe) so I decided to see if I could buy a new spring, without knowing it was called a spring. So found your web site again .saw the link for a video and here II am amazed bc I just pulled out the spring and reinserted it and wa La I have a working unit on both ends. I cannot thank you enough for being here at this day.

I found a small dowel also works for inserting the spring.
