How did you like the AT on this route. Did you wish you had a smaller and lighter bike or was the AT good?
@franz-garsombke2 ай бұрын
My brother was on the AT, it was his first time doing a BDR and mostly first time off road. The bike did great and if you stay off the alternate routes there wasn't anything technical. We did one of the alternate routes and he was a little over his head, but it wasn't the bike, just him not having the experience.

Looks like good times. Did you book your campsites in advance?
@franz-garsombke2 ай бұрын
@@Up2Mtb_Moto No, it was late enough in the year, and most state parks we were at had a lot of sites in general. I could see if it was height of camping season might be a little risky. I'm used to dispersed camping so this was a bit new to be in state park camping sites 🙂

I think I camped in the same camp site at little pine creek.

@@franz-garsombke First off this is my wife's account. I've camped all over out there and there are a lot of nice dirt roads.

Since there always seem to be places with the same name in PA, are your referring to Farmington near Uniontown? That kind of looked like rt40. If so, let's ride!
@franz-garsombke3 ай бұрын
@@Sventy11 it is! And it was Route 40 😏I actually dont live in PA, my brother does. I live in Colorado and was visiting him with my dad. He was kind enough to lend me his Transalp 😁

@fgarsombke1 that's awesome! There are some great roads through Forbes and Quebec state forests in the immediate area along with other unpaved roads that I thoroughly enjoy riding. I bought a TA last year and recently ditched it for a base AT. It's funny seeing both bikes in one video. Nice footage!

@@Sventy11 oh nice, I'll let him know! Yeah somehow he had both 😁
