State Route 30 A25 Rapid Bridge Replacement Timelapse

Work was completed in May 2016 to replace the Route 30 bridge over Bessemer Avenue in East Pittsburgh in Allegheny County. The single-span structure was replaced using accelerated bridge construction methods. It was demolished and replaced in just 57 hours using precast modules. Around 20 workers on 12-hour shifts cleared much of the old structure and pieced together the new one. It replaces a 1930 bridge that had become structurally deficient. The stretch of Route 30 carries about 22,000 vehicles a day.

PennDot already does that, so don't get deceived by this video. They like to drag things out on purpose. I guess the whole purpose of this video from PennDot is to make them look good in the public eye. It takes them centuries to fill in pot holes on busy roads.

Took about 10 years to get a bridge replacement over here approved, and 5 months to build it. It wasn't precast though. They did a really nice job on the bridge but the paving leading up to it is pretty shotty, very bumpy and a deep transition from the existing road like a speed bump. I think they rushed the paving and didn't get a proper road base down before paving.

This shows that major construction CAN be done extremely fast, either because of an emergency, or because of too much inconvenience for drivers or residents. I am just guessing here but usually it is money. Most governments put jobs out to bid and usually the lowest price wins. Which means people working regular 40 hr work weeks because overtime is more expensive. But in cases where time is critical and they are willing to pay for not only the overtime but the shear number of people and equipment needed at one time than they can accomplish amazing things. I saw one video from China where they worked on some raised highway project with over 200 excavators working in a line to demolish the structure at the same time. it depends on the technique used to dismantle and to do the reconstruction of the bridge sometimes just where it is it turn into a head ache ... if the only access to the job site is going threw residential streets yeah it will take longer sometime it is getting the oversized permits can be tricky ...

In Texas, it would have been 10 years of increasing vehicle weight restrictions on the old bridge until only bicycles could cross it. In the 11th year, an impending failure noticed by an inspector would then result in the bridge being closed for 6 months while a new design was drawn and approved. The remainder of the 11th year would be consumed with public hearings and contractor selection. In the 12th year, a few days here and there of sporadic work would occur, spaced by weeks of no work being accomplished. Sometime around the 13th year it would be announced the new bridge was built, but it would be closed until... ....later in the 13th year when the sign and striping crews get to it. Then, for reasons completely unknown, a new lower speed limit will be imposed. Bridge finished.

As a Swede, this is quite remarkable. They replaced a bridge over a river on a major highway, about the same size as this. 20 km detour for 3 weeks. Then they did a shoddy job paving it, so they had to close it for a couple more days a month later to repave it. Admittedly working above a river is a bit more demanding, but come on...

Here in Charlotte NC a bridge was removed over six months ago. It was designed to carry 2 lanes of traffic and a future street car line. Turns out street cars weigh more now needing the bridge to be removed and rebuilt to carry the load. The large crane has been on site from day one but only used for about a week, wonder what a 200 ton crawler crane costs per month to rent? From the looks of it, it might take another 6 months to finish the job? Great thing is that the lower 6 lane road is at its low point under the bridge and floods during heavy rains because of poor design as well.

Обращение Бога.. 28.12.2020 Катрен “Русь трудные прошла Испытания” Жизнь на Планете - испытания для людей! Не все выдерживают испытания! Смысл жизни: вернуться на Небо скорей! Надо открыть в себе Создателя дарования! Наградой за испытания - долгая жизнь! Но жизнь в другом измерении! Люди, проявляясь здесь, не понимают, как жить? Точнее, трудно понять смысл проявления! Люди говорят о Материи: дом, дерево и дети! Но это очень приземлённое целеполагание! Может интереснее подняться над Материей? Может нужно самим усложнить испытание? Может надо из подобия подняться до Бога? Может лучше оторваться и от Материи? Может лучше доказать себе, что смог? И шагнуть в Небеса без потери? Мечтать не запрещается никому! Ведь человек спустился на Планету с Неба! Значит, всё подвластно ему! Всё есть и всё было и это - не небыль! Испытания закаляют Душу, как сталь! Испытания развивают и Разум! Каждый человек может Бога услышать! Надо лишь развить свой собственный Ум! Надо помнить, что все люди от Бога! Что в каждом есть часть Создателя! В Небо каждый может подняться в итоге, Главное, не опуститься до обывателя! Человек в богатстве - никогда Бог! Богатство отвлекает от чистых мыслей! Печален богатого человека итог! Богатство разлагает о Боге мысли! Главный сегодня аргумент - жизнь в Духе: Творить себя самого и окружающий Мир! Внутри кровь есть кровь от Бога, не слухи, Только Бог для людей - ориентир! Люди все от Бога и между Богами есть только мир! Между Богами не бывает различия, Но если Бога там нет, как ориентир, Тогда между людьми - большое отличие! Если нет Бога, то нет родства в Духе! Люди без Бога не бывают Родными! Гражданские войны совсем не слухи! В России погосты уже переполнены! Русь трудные прошла испытания! Три революции и три войны! Люди были брошены на скитания! Но люди Руси Богу оставались верны! Единство в Духе - Единство в Боге! Это Победа в череде испытаний! Русь смогла подняться с колен в итоге! Сама завершила свои испытания! Никто не верил в поруганную страну! Но Идея Союза не пропала даром! Русь сама зализала свои раны, Воскресшая Русь будет для Мира ударом! Русь окрепла в своих страданиях! Бог показал: кто есть кто на Руси! Не надо теперь никаких гаданий, Русь знает, что ей делать на этом пути! Бог даровал Ей Право творить заслуженно! Никто никогда так не стоял за Веру! Это Руси Право Богу служить, И быть гарантом Любви и её Мерой! Знания Создателя позволяют показать путь! Есть Правило: следуй за мной! Россия изложит Доктрины Суть, Доктрина для человечества будет Миром, а не войной! Все предложения, даже Космизм, были без Бога! Русь предлагает Доктрину Бога! Вместо Пятой расы, Русь подведёт итоги! thats nothing, here in surigao city, in the philippines, 2 bridges separated by 200 m was damaged by a magnitude 6+ earthquake last Feb 10, 2017, until now rehabilitation still going on.....
