One of the things I always loved about this series was how the characters evolved over time, especially Amy and Howard. They went from painfully awkward (creepy in Howard's case) to arguably the best characters in the show.

Even if that were true (Howard was still an asshole, and he deserved a love interest way less than Stuart did), that has nothing to do with Penny’s character. Penny got WORSE over time. Not only did the writers not know what to do with their character anymore, they also made her unbearably rude and insensitive to the guys and let me remind you that one of them is her HUSBAND. 🤦‍♂️ Chuck Lorre seems to think that making decent a guy become pathetic, and making a nice girl become a bitchy shrew and pairing them up is funny. It’s NOT. He did the same thing to Howard and Bernadette. Bernadette was fine just the way she was when she was first introduced, but then they made her worse. The problem is that they may Penny and Bernadette essentially the same shit woman. The last four seasons are tainted with TAAHM humor, which is why Leonard and Penny are basically Alan and Lyndsey. Chuck Lorre ALWAYS ruins his shows, and characters.

Same.. i love how Penny represented some one who is extroverted while Amy represented an extreme introvert while Bernadette is what you could become when you balance these two personalities out. I wish they had done something similar with the guy's group. Zack could have become a regular character. He could have been the one who influenced the guys to get out of their comfort zone.

what I love about Penny is that her character isn't depicted as a stereotypical mean girl, she is actually kind, sweet and just a compassionate person to the boys. I find it fascinating

it is fascinating and really sweet that they eventually wrote her character like this, because in the pilot episode they actually wrote her as a mean girl to the boys and it was a different actress as well (i don't remember her name) but then changed her to Cucuo and it's the perfect fit for the character

Penny is a shallow, condescending, nosy, hypocritical, and judgemental person. There is nothing sweet about her. She SETTLED for Leonard because the pretty boys she always wanted kept cheating on her. Every single chance Penny gets to put down "the boys" she takes and does with sheer delight. I really do not know how people can like the Penny character. Bernadette is even worse. Now, Amy is a great person. She is a sweet woman who is always there to help others, especially Sheldon, who is the hardest to please.

That first clip was Bernadette being a girl boss. She stopped her competition from stealing a good employee, complimented said employee to secure her loyalty, and simultaneously hid the offer from her so she won’t know what she’s missing out on and want a raise. Boom.

I personally didn’t like that they began to emphasize on her job, too. She should’ve gone in a different direction. Penny should’ve moved out of the building away from Sheldon, they should’ve gone the acting route with Penny, and I think it would’ve been interesting if Leonard had quit his job at the university and started working somewhere else.

Sheldon clapped so fast, to go with his fast singing, of Deep in the Heart of Texas, I had to slow it down to 1/4 speed and rewatch to see if he clapped 4 times. I've seen Young Sheldon, and apparently clapping 4 times is extremely important. Btw, laughter at 1/4 speed sounds truly bizarre. But it is a laugh track, rather than actual laughter. So besides being one of the most annoying things ever invented (I truly HATE canned laughter when they use it for stuff that is just NOT funny! You can't force the audience to feel things they do not feel, well maybe if they are subhuman level of stupid...) it has a weird sound to it that plays poorly when speed is adjusted.

The last four seasons were absolute SHIT. Penny was no longer the character many had grown to like. Kaley herself also carried this negative, toxic, and depressing vibe with her. She also became more pale and was always fake smiling and faux laughing. That tattoo that she got to replace the other one was also ugly as shit. Also, they shouldn’t have given her that job. I’m all for equality, but a woman like Penny should NOT be making more than her spouse. They should’ve just gone the Joey Tribbiani route with Penny’s character.
