Just finished watching A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN and a second time with the director and cast commentary. A MUST. Such a treat that inspired me to keep digging. I found this for a trifecta by fate and luck. What a story. Miss the old time TV. Carole you are missed and loved. R.I.P.

Nice people but Garry's voice is loud enough to wake up all the dogs who died the year before. Penny's auto-bio was a good read -- all the friends she had said a lot about her sincere generosity and dedication to her work.

Was Penny Jewish?? I love her personality. I never realized what a nice person she really was until a few years ago when I saw an interview with her.

In this video Garry says that they are Italian but could pass for Jewish and Penny then later says that Rob Reiner when they first started dating assumed she was Jewish. She had to tell him well I'm not Jewish, actually. And I totally agree that she's very nice I got to work adjacent to her at Paramount with her brother and sister and it was the time of my life. At Paramount they were selling jackets with the names of the productions whether it's a movie or TV show and you could get something embroidered on the front. So I paid to have embroidered the words, Marshall family appreciation society, When Ronnie Hallin, her sister who's there at the end in this video, saw what I had embroidered on my jacket she smiled and said, ASS KISSER They were all super friendly Heh
