These are rad. Be psyched to watch you talk through your full collection and what you like best about each board you've made. And a quick tutorial how you Frankenstein these together.

Thanks so much! That’s really great feedback! I’m on the road now kinda on tour by myself but when I get home I’ll give your suggestion a go!

@@mekshiftsnowskates721 Nice! Good luck on the road! If you start to spin up a video and it begins to feel like a job or stops being fun - don't sweat it! I'm happy with what you've shared as is and your video inspired me to buy some punk trucks to mount myself on some old gear.

Do you make these or do you buy them?
@mekshiftsnowskates72110 күн бұрын
I buy the pieces separately and then put them together usually. I don’t make penny skateboards or ski blades. I have made my own snowskate trucks but I usually use Harfang snowskate trucks. The snowskates I put together usually come out unique and different then what’s usually available to buy. I also buy other brands of snowskates and mix and match pieces to experiment

I sometimes cut the width of snowboards for the bottom ski (sub deck)

When you cut down a snowboard do you take slices off down the length inside and then glue the sides back on the middle to keep the metal edges or do you just narrow it down and seal the sides without metal?
@mekshiftsnowskates721Күн бұрын
@ I usually cut the metal edges off. The cut edge holds surprisingly well. Some resorts won’t let you ride it with no metal edge. You can re install the metal edge. You pull off the metal from the part you cut off then reinstall it after making a track for it in the new place.

Does it ollie?
@mekshiftsnowskates7218 күн бұрын
Yes!, because how the board is set up. If you set up the board so that the sub decks tail doesn’t stick out too far it makes the board much more able to Ollie. Some snowskates are very difficult to Ollie because the tail of the sub deck sticks out so far. The long tail on the sub deck is good for carving and going fast but cripples the Ollie
@smelltheglove20388 күн бұрын
@mekshiftsnowskates721 that's pretty sick. I've always been of the mind thatnif it doesn't Ollie it's not a real skateboard.

@ me too, I usually feel like if you can’t pop your board up into your hand then it’s not right. If you need to bend over to pick it up then I feel something is broken.
