My favorite Nirvana song. Unlike many of their tracks that rely on hooks and ironic/sarcastic lyrics Kurt, for a rare time, gets obvious and personal, with some of his greatest lines ever. And the music matches the feeling of hopelessness so perfectly. I relate to this song so much. 25 years ago today a troubled genius was lost.

Eh. - This is when he was using most heavily a few weeks before his suicide. He was medicinally using. He knew what dosage to take to make him capable of doing whatever he had to get through on that particular day. If you see interviews from this period he always had those glassy eyes.

Je pleurais d'excitation et je pleurais parce que je sentais que c'était plus qu'un métier pour Kurt et qu'il souffrait trop pour prendre du plaisir à chanter... Et 2mois plus tard, il a confirmé mes craintes. Il fallait que ça s'arrête, cette souffrance, soit c'était overdose soit c'était suicide mais on n'avait plus le droit de lui demander de souffrir pour nous faire plaisir à nous les fans hardcore. Je vais TRÈS MAL à mon tour et j'ai qu'une envie : CREVER . Perfect? What the passing of Kurt was perfect? You can’t mean that, cam you? I agree. Music isnt what it was in the 90s. It was a special time. Vs chorus vs chorus bridge chorus etc.... simple powerful emotional. Awesome. But how was it a perfect ending ? Sorry to interject I barely ever comment but reading that made me uneasy. How In the fu€¥ can this person say a death was perfect? What in the fu€£ are you saying ? Just pissed me off a bit so please elaborate.

Nirvana was the end of rock cause it died shortly after kurt lingering until 1996. If your old enough to remember mtv during and before 1996 it was very clear rock was rock

@@Crazy_Rider299 Except in this performance, where Kurt ad libbed; "Give me a Leonard Nimoy afterworld." Of course, he occasionally played with the lyrics here and there, maybe to amuse himself and make things a bit more unique to different performances. Another example of Kurt ad libbing is one performance of Territorial Pissings from 1991 or 1992, where Kurt said "Just because you're cliched, don't mean you can't have cake." I forgot which performance that was, though, sorry.

The 'Drain You' performance at this show was epic, but this is definitely equally as good, Kurt was on fire that night.
