So you pronounce Brougham broom round there. Fair enough, it's like Hough, sort of.

I've mostly heard it pronounced as broom, but others pronounce it by almost dropping the ugh sound so it becomes bro-um. Heysham was another place where people had two ways of pronouncing it.
