Good ITL. Great effect processing. So subtle but so worth it.

Its all about workflow, if you prefer tracking, editing, whatever in a DAW, stick with it. If you prefer Midi sequencing and virtual instruments in a DAW , same thing. Pro Tools is popular because it was the first real audio editor. A lot of people who have been around for the last 15 years or more don't see the need to switch platforms for the same, or similar results. There are still people using Pro Tools 5 TDM in OS9 because it works well.

Hey Dave! Just a heads up, you can actually find the exact milliseconds per beat by dividing 60,000 by your beats per minute: 60,000/BPM So if you're at 81 BPM, it looks like this: 60,000/81 = 740.740740470..... So the 1/4 note (a quarter note usually is considered the "beat") is about 741 milliseconds. At 81 BPM (and with 4/4 or 3/4 etc.... time signature), 370 milliseconds would actually be an 1/8 note (not a 1/4 note). Just thought I'd mention that little tip! Thanks for all the videos and keep up the great work!

unfortunately its still the industry standard. not to say its the best, just the most widely integrated.

That's just not true. I've used Adobe Audition, Cubase, Reaper, and you can turn off the grid in all those. You can in probably any DAW at this point.

They are all just tools. Ableton is my fave for the music I make....But Pro Tools is unique in that you can turn off the grid for music with fluctuating tempos, non beat based music, or punk rock, jazz etc and get sample accurate editing - no other DAW does that, they all use bars/beats/tempo... Horses for courses

It's annoying how they talk about Pro Tools as if it were synonymous with DAW. A lot of recordists and mixers use other DAWs. And other DAWs have virtues PT lacks. PT is widely used, but, thankfully, it is far from enjoying a monopoly.

Herb, what the heck is going on with these camera angles? You're distracting your viewers. Get rid of the amateurs filming the show. You guys were doing so well...
