Production values for something done 50+ years ago are nothing short of amazing. A historic gem!

Your bass playing is beyond perfect Danny - the way you're rhythmically playing the harmonics to fill in for when Terry's playing the xylophone is incredible

Everything about this from the vocals to the rhythm to the instrumentation sounded absolutely amazing, yet very relaxing at the same time.

A masterpiece, as perfect a performance of a perfect song as it gets.

A master bassist (I always felt the equal of my Jazz heroes) playing within a folk group was only one of the many disparate elements that came together to make Pentangle still relevant today over 50 years later.

I don't know if the were jazz cats first or folkies first but cross fertilising jazz and folk was a genius move. Most American folkies at that time were roughly strumming three chords and singing slightly off key, while all the British folk bands were very accomplished musically.

It seemed to take the US a while to catch up in the sixties and seventies. England had The Who, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Sabbath, Deep Purple, Yes, Genesis etc etc. The US had...Kiss😅

Bass sounds like he his playing with Miles and Herbie. A bit too busy for my tastes in folk, but a master of the instrument , nonetheless .
