I can say for sure that Pentatonix made the most beautiful Masterpiece out of this song! I literally felt angelic harmony, happiness from Heaven and peace from God! I'm very grateful for your reaction to this cover! If you want to hear something original you can check Pentatonix original song called Be my eyes.

Classics like this can be joyfully listened to again and again, in new renditions and arrangements. Anything partaking of eternity will be eternally good. And, like you, I was so captivated at the beginning I missed the fact that it was acapella. Also, I was struck by the way a solo went one by one - each time one was brought into focus I worried a bit as I said to myself - "hope this one will be good, too." Of course, each 'tone' of the pentatones was wonderful. Thanks for showing this song to me and for your insights.

Filmed at Wayfarers Chapel at Rancho Palos Verdes, California The natural sanctuary of Palos Verdes sits nestled in a grove of towering redwoods on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Designed by renowned organic architect Lloyd Wright, the stone and glass structure gives unique expression to the sacred space that welcomes all Wayfarers along life’s path.

Has quickly become my absolute favorite performance by PTX. Superb harmonics, of course, combined with outstanding solo vocals. The two-toned beginning with just Matt and Scott singing in complementary keys gave such an unusual tone for that portion, which really got to me.

I am a Pentatonix fan and while browsing through the reaction videos I stumbled upon your reaction to "The Sound Of Silence". It was a great reaction so I went to your page and watched all of your Pentatonix reactions starting with the Michael Jackson one and ending with this one. They were all great so I am now a Subscriber. As far as suggestions for future reactions I would suggest: "BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY", "COME ALONG" and "WIZARD OF AHHS". They all have different "vibes" from each other and from the ones you have already done but they are all great. Can't wait to watch more. Keep up the good work.

I forgot it was Sunday. Now I don't have to go to church! Who is the girl singer, she gives it the Southern soul sound? Someday read the amazing story behind the song. Many who have sung it think the Almighty had His hand in writing it. The opera singer Jesse Norman has even sang it after a rock concert and it stopped people in their tracks. Everyone had to stop partying and listen to her. I have tried to read the author John Newton's autobiography on how he was a slaver, then repented, then turned minister and was instrumental in ending Great Britain's slave trade just prior to his death.

They have another song with this kind of creative beauty, a Christmas song ,"Mary Did You Know". There are a lot comments suggesting a million things so I am hopeful that you get a chance to hear it. You are stopping this video at the absolutely the worst places. If you have to pause (and I get that you do) then do it BETWEEN VERSES AND NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF A SOLO OR A SOUND WALL!!! Wen you do stop, back up about 15 seconds to get back into the experience and it will lessen the impact of the interruption

I hate to sound negative, but this sounds a little too synthesized to me. Close harmonies sound impeccable but it seems some of the time they studied too long at where they could add another layer and I find it momentarily drags the buoyancy of the melody from its plateau. To cut this to the point, I'm not hearing the slight flaws, the hint of spontaneous dynamic, the slight grubby paw prints on the sound canvess that conveys soul. Some might suggest "too polished", and I would agree.
@FayolaOnline4 жыл бұрын
I've heard others say similar, their harmonies sound too polished. I think you can still hear soulfulness but mostly in their solo parts. They have perfected their art and to get some of the unique blends they need in other songs in other genres (EDM -techo vibes) they need that perfection. They just released their Christmas Album for this year and their take on the 12 Days of Christmas really showcases how integral their harmonies are for different genres. It's fun and playful, highly recommend giving it a listen.
@parlance.electricco4 жыл бұрын
@@FayolaOnline I'll check that out, thanks. I'm betting a lot of autotune software/hardware was used in this production. It's good but too sugar-sweet for me. Maybe I listened to too much gospel singing from a young age and need that soul-stirring realness in everything.
@FayolaOnline4 жыл бұрын
@@parlance.electricco You should hear some of their live performances. It sounds identical to the studio versions. They tend to not do things they can't do live. I've seen them in concert and was totally amazed.

@@FayolaOnline I'd be interested in seeing the effects rack that runs the vocals mix. Autotune to the max I imagine. I may be wrong, but I have been involved in studio recording for many years and I have deep suspicions about their vocals being natural.
