From what I looked up: This was written by Filipino singer/composer Jose Mari Chan in 1990, and it has been the most popular Christmas song in the Philippines since. Edit: I’m kinda surprised this hasn’t made it to the US before now, it’s a beautiful song.

A little trivia: Jose Mari Chan originally wanted Lea to record the song in 1991 but she was on a different record label and they wouldn’t let her cross labels, so he recorded it with his daughter (who I think is close to Lea’s age). In 1991 Lea was 20 and she is now 52. Lea is the singing voice for 2 Disney princesses (Jasmine and Mulan) and is also known for her musical theater credits.

I love Matt in this song. His bass singing has grown so much since he joined in 2017. I honestly believe he has far passed all expectations these last 7 years. He deserves all the kudos for coming in and filling the shoes that Avi left. I honestly believe the group has grown far beyond what they were when Avi was there. I can't imagine Avi doing the Butter/Dynamite pop sound, and in all honesty, I honestly believe Matt has taken this group to another level. Avi has an amazing solo career, and I really pray he wins his first grammy with Evergreen!! I am so proud of this group this year. Their productions have gone beyond anything they have done before.
