Yup, all them. You know how they do. This video, as I'm sure others have told you already, was shot in a closet, using a ring light, a black light, and some cheap cam they picked up. The contacts they use, they all shared them, irritated the eyes of both Avi, which is why his eyes are so red around them, and Kevin, who couldn't wear them at all. The vocals were recorded sitting around Kevin and Avi's kitchen table. For the sum total of about $400 they won themselves their first of three Grammy's. So, yeah...they proved that winning awards doesn't take a big budget. Just the creativity to pull it off. Wonderful to see you again, Schnell. I love watching you react to PTX. See you next time, and, as always, thank you for doing this.

@stoneshack20004 жыл бұрын
That's an oxymoron, live, studio. it doesn't make sense. it's either live or Studio. point being in the studio, they can make it sound however they want to, and that's the essence of studio. If it's live, then it's live...
@srslyboomer4 жыл бұрын
@@stoneshack2000 I think the idea here is, "It's live, but recorded in a studio" (ie, with real recording equipment and tech) - as opposed to "recorded at a concert, from the back row, with a potato" :)
@stoneshack20004 жыл бұрын
@@srslyboomer the only point I was making, is everything Pentatonix does is animated, with a computer. There's nothing real about their voices, just like their eyes were all blue. It's the same principle, it's all animated made up. some of us in fact most of us, like the real thing. Where people are really singing and you know what they sound like. if you don't believe me just watch the number of hits this video gets, there is people for every video. you can play rocky versus Godzilla, and you're going to get people that really like that. Even though it's not real, so I understand. But most of us in reactions want real voices from real people. That's all. so I understand there's a percentage of people that like Pentatonix. But she just doubled and then some her Subs, not to mention the views. Because she played somebody ie Dimash that was singing live. And that's what most people want. numbers don't lie. have a great evening..

I love this video, and one of the things that makes me grin is Mitch's look. While everyone else is going out of their way to look weird and otherworldly, Mitch (aside from the blue contacts) is the cheery kid next door, with his sweater, his broad smile, and his couple of extra pounds (a unique short-lived period in our time with Mitch). When he appears in the epilogue where they thank their supporters, with his plaid button-down shirt and glasses, it's a look described on another channel as "Apple Genius Bar geek Mitch."

Chronological is an interesting idea. They have 9+ years of material, so you have a lot to work through. It's 9+ because you could go back to performances in high school by "the trio" and Kevin's pre-Pentatonix performances including the one at Carnegie Hall. Hi. I'd like to suggest a performance that I feel is woefully under-requested, perhaps because it is not a capella but shows that they are Broadway ready. It's "What Is this Feeling?" from a Wicked TV special and it's a lot of fun. A completely different side to them. Also, while I absolutely appreciate Kevin, both within PTX and solo and adore Superfruit, let's not forget to mention that they all have solo projects, none of which fail to live up to our PTX expectations of them. Avi's new stuff is particularly stunning in my opinion. I haven't had a chance to listen to Matt's work outside of PTX but I'll get there. One last thing; although it's been said elsewhere, It's ALWAYS Mitch, thank God.
