I absolutely love this song I liked it when I was in high school in the cranberry sang it and Dolores did a beautiful job her voice is so unique but what I'm really impressed with and Pentatonix cover is Matt's baseline it is so vital to this song it holds it all together ❤️

The Cranberries was the first band I ever saw in concert when I was younger so this has a special place in my heart for sure. Thanks for the great reaction! I used to use the original to fall asleep to when I couldn't sleep. PTX definitely captured the essence of the song.

I think the blending of the background imagery with them was to give a "dreamy" feel to it, fitting with the theme of the song. 😊

Great review "Pretty Eyes". My niece several years ago asked about the 80s(I'm 57) and the music. I sent her to my vinyl collection and proceeded to educate her in the great alternative music. It was great music back then. That's why they make great covers such as this. Keep Rockin'

You might know the Cranberries song 'Zombie' better - that was probably more popular at the time. I love the way they used the blue/green blends at the end (Northern Lights)as an homage to the original video done by Dolores and the Cranberries - PTX always have a nice little quiet nod to the original in most of their vids which is really awesome.

Never heard of The Cranberries omg. You should listen to the No Need to Argue album from them, it’s an experience tbh. Excellent video as always, I love hearing you both talk about stuff technically but also fangirling out. It’s wholesome lol

If you haven't heard of The Cranberries, it's high time you see them! This is one of the very few songs Pentatonix has done that I like the original version better than theirs(and that's saying nothing bad about Pentatonix). You are probably not old enough to have heard much of the cranberrys They are a group from Ireland that did a bunch of songs about the IRA and condemning the bombing on Northern Ireland. One of there more famous works is called Zombies About two kids who died in a early 90.s bombing. You should give them a listen sometime one of the female leads has a very unique voice and vocal style you might really like.
