That bass! The one and only Avi Kaplan, an opera trained basso profundo who left the group in 2017 and is now pursuing a successful solo career. Please check out his 'Change on the Rise'. If you want to hear them all really singing together in beautiful five part harmony, then you must listen to 'Run To You', an Avi and Kevin original.

Avi Kaplan basso profundo sang second. Scott sang first and covered the bass. They are all extremely multi talented and together they are near perfection. They do this live also and just as good. The bass left and has a wondrous solo career you should check out. Change on the Rise and b/ w video of I'm only getting started. Great reaction.

The first singer ( scott Hoying) is a baritone and when their bass singer ( Avi Kaplan , guy with long hair in the beanie) sings the second verse, Scott takes over doing the bass. Avi then takes bass for the remainder of the song. They all have at least 4 octave ranges and the beatboxer can sing tenor as well and sings backing vocals when not actively beatboxing. There is a live version of this for you to watch: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKLTmZuGltWepcUsi=SbTEgBg02OdJHbSh It's from last year at the Hollywood Bowl and note that the bass singer is Matt Sallee. Avi Kaplan left the the group amicably in 2017. Matt joined then about 6 months later. All the rest of the group are the same people you just saw...just aged about 7 or 8 years. There are lots of songs available from that concert in Miles Reuben's channel...all separated by songs.

You reaction is the same as mine. Go down their rabbit hole. They have a huge catalog pf almost three hundred songs. They don't record anything they can do live. They are several different l.ive performances of this. They are just as wonderful humane beings as they are singers.They have seeralmoriginal and Christmas Albums that are just wonderful.

I am going to see them live September 3rd can't wait!! I found them a couple years ago and had to go back and listen to everything they have done. There original music is great too. There covers are called upgrades.

The 1st singer (Scott Hoying) is doing the bass while the real bass (Avi Kaplan) sings the 2nd verse. There is a live version from their 2017 special. They have also some videos of them doing it live on tour this year. Sounds the same, scary talented people. enjoyed that! The beat boxer is the most talented one LOL.

I think you would very much enjoy "Run To You," an original, written by Avi and Kevin. There's no lead singer and no solos, not even any beatboxing, just glorious five part harmony. For more of Kevin (the beatboxer), I recommend "The Kevin Show/Kevin's Fifth." There are actually 2 people "making the bass sound". The first to sing was Scott Hoying. He is primarily a Baritone. The second to sing is Avi Kaplan. He sings bass. But....whenever Avi is singing the lead, Scott sings bass. So, all the bass notes you heard when Avi was singing the lead, you were hearing Scott sing the bass notes. If you want to react to PTX in concert, "Pop Spring 2016" showcases them singing 3 of their own songs (not covers) & one of their "Evolution of...." medlies. I know you will LOVE it.

He has a really high singing register, it's just sooo clear and beautiful! I recommend Sound of Silence, Mary Did You Know, Bohemian Rhapsody, 90's Dance Medley and Imagine. Also there is no such thing as starting with the 'wrong song'. A lot of reactors do start with Hallelujah but it is not a MUST for a first time reaction!

This is a masterpiece, and the best version of Hallelujah in my opinion. I do feel like Kevin (beatboxer) isn’t given enough focus so many people overlook him beatboxing. The live Christmas Special is also amazing - both for hearing it live and because it’s easier to see everything that Kevin does. Ah I see you found their most popular song. This is one of my favorites cuz of the Mitch slap heard from around the world. LOL I think the only other two high notes from Mitch that top this song is "can you feel the love tonight" from the lion king. And the other is a live song they play I think it's something like "ahh or Monsters" I want to say. But he hits this note that I swear it shatters every window within the 2-mile radius. You should totally cover both of those if you haven't already. I'm only three songs into your reactions. Subscribed of course. Looking forward to the rabbit hole you're about to dive into.

I do listen to them most all day. They are on in my home They were born to sing together Scott, Mitch and Kirstie grew up together and have sung together all their lives. As you listen to more and more, it is termed "going down the rabbit hole". Most of us start with Hallelujah, and you already found Daft Punk.
