A clear reminder that the most beautiful instrument is a well trained and intentional human voice. Thank you for this gift.
@Salsa470
@Salsa470 4 ай бұрын
Yes, the voice is a wonderful instrument. Unfortunately, the vast majority of songs performed by Pentatonix, labeled as "live," are actually modified and generated thanks to skilled sound technicians who spend hours artificially correcting each note of each singer to achieve a pseudo-perfection. This results in voices that are devoid of sensitivity, interchangeable, and without emotion. Dear young singers, do not be sad if you feel like you are not measuring up, and do not compare yourselves to this pseudo a cappella group. This false perfection is unattainable for any human. A cappella actually means "only with the voice and without instruments."

@@Salsa470 haha you're funny. I know that a human voice will never be perfect "technically speaking", but have you ever watched all their old MICLESS and RAW RECORDED (from mobile phones) performances/videos??? pentatonix became the most popular and by majorities' opinion the best a capella group FOR A REASON. I dare you to watch all their live micless performances that are recorded using phones. you dare call them pretentious/not genuine/pseudo without actually knowing them and hearing their raw micless and unamplified voices? you are just another insecure fella who I don't understand why would bother waste their time in here given the fact that you obviously dislike this group. Oh Wow! This is a group of 5 SOLOISTS singing as ONE! They bring the traditional A Capella sound that was heard through churches throughout the centuries and then add their own Pentatonix MAGIC and hey presto they turn me into o lover of a song I have always hated. I loved the recorded version and the video but to sing it live at this level of excellence is truly remarkable. Thank you Pentatonix. I so wish I could hear you in the flesh but for now I will settle for these gifts. Ps Matt fits in so perfectly and brings another dimension. God i wasn’t expecting those too notes that sent goosebumps through my scalp which was repeated a few moments later when Mitch hit his top notes. Kirsty has an amazing voice as does Scott (he hit some notes too boy) then Kevin - what can I say? I am a musician and my brain tells me there are drums in there! God, Kevin that’s an amazing gift. yes but dont forget Christ's kingdom. Homosexuality and gay activities is the work of the devil in these last days. I know pentatonix feels this guilt and others do but Christ is still calling us. lets return to the loving creator

Wow I really like this new version, I love stylistic choices that differ from the first video. Like the ending especially - Scott going higher, while Mitch singing lower than usual (for this song I mean), and each person's voice was just beautifully woven together. And Matt's rendition was amazing and he really made it his own, that high note caught me off guard in a good way. Kirstie's voice was angelic but powerful as always, and Kevin's insane skills never fails to impress me. And I love that you can really feel all the emotion being poured into their singing. Thanks for sharing guys, have a great day everyone

I get to see you in person for the first time this year. I got tickets for the Dallas show. I wasn’t looking forward to the holidays this year. My spouse went into the hospital last Christmas and died on January 7th. Going to this concert is giving me something to look forward to this holiday season. Thank you.

While Avi's bass and the original recording made this more spiritual or folk in nature, Matt's bass and solo seems more operatic and more epic to me. I love both and love hearing this new spin 💞

Awesome as always. Of all the videos they released before this version clearly shows how versatile Scott's voice and range is. Not sure how many fans realize that when the bass singer(Matt in this, and Avi on the first version) sings the melody in first verse, it is Scott who is taking over the bass and it is so so seamless (from 1.05). And you see him doing the deep note at 1.40

This year marked the first anniversary of my attendance at your concert in Raleigh, North Carolina. I had an incredible time. Before leaving for the concert, I repeatedly exclaimed my excitement. My older sister and I even had a conversation in the restroom, saying, "I swear to God, if they sing Hallelujah, I will cry." Hallelujah is my all-time favorite song cover by Pentatonix. My sister and I were thrilled and having a great time during the concert. After the last song, everything went dark, and I was confused since it was my first concert. However, when I heard Scott begin singing Hallelujah, my eyes widened, and I covered my mouth, becoming emotional. I was overjoyed to hear my favorite song performed live. If I were to create a top five or top ten list of my favorite Pentatonix songs, Hallelujah would undoubtedly hold the top spot. I adore that song, and it never ceases to captivate me. I am and will always be a devoted Pentaholic.
