it's an original. The way they think of it is everyday is a new day so it's a new year and the day before is behind you. And Scott, God bless him, started crying when he sang it when it was very new in concert and said he was thinking as he sang but he was never going to forget that exact moment and it was so special it made him cry. This is when they were at their Peak. They had the crowds they had the respect of the music industry in this country and they had no way of knowing that 2017 was going to blow it all down when Avi broke the news he was leaving. It makes me so upset cuz they were just killing it with their music. Albums debuting in the number one spot and holding it against Heavy Hitters like Demi Lovato! They had their own Christmas special that was amazing! Their Christmas album was big and it went platinum in Canada and just it was a record-breaker! I know that it knocked the breath out of me when Avi said he was leaving because they had work so long and so hard to get where they were. Well it's a new year! Happy New Year to everybody! Pentatonix had an amazing year this year and while they may not have broken record sales and probably won't until people acknowledge that they have the right to move on when Avi left them they are breaking ticket sales and filling auditoriums to overflowing all over the world! Did a whole bunch of stuff for this holiday season but I didn't see anybody reacting to it cuz nobody requested it so I just watched it on TV. But yeah they're doing good again and I'm very happy for them that they came out of the mess that was 2017 whole instead of irreparably damaged. I look forward to when you get to see them in concert! I've been watching a whole bunch of stuff since I watched this has been an emotional rollercoaster LOL! But I want to share with you a cute little fan compilation that I didn't see until today for some reason but it's a compilation of The Trio on KZbin and it is really fun to see how far back they were posting to KZbin and seeing how far they've come! Maybe you'll see why I love those kids so much! I always felt like Avi and Kevin are on the side keeping an eye on the youngsters in the middle and during tour Avi sister Esther kept an eye out for all five of them which was really comical. Well I wanted to share this with you because I honestly think you'll enjoy it and it'll give you an idea of that friendship Scott, Mitch and Kirstin have had for so long. I love that you got to this one. I was there in Times Square that night New Year's Eve 2016. Unfortunately I wasn't close enough to see PTX but I could hear them from where I was. They were so good, as usual. If I remember right, we were freezing that night. The temperature was just hovering above freezing and it was drizzling on and off all night, but we had a blast.

I absolutely told you about this several times, because this is my absolute favorite original song by them. But yeah, you get so many comments it gets lost really quickly :D. Fun fact: This is actually not primarily intended to just be a New Year's song. I think it was Mitch who came up with the hook and when he pitched it to Scott, Scott wasn't sure if it was gonna work to do a song that was so particular. But Mitch said he really intended to be more about new beginnings in general. So they worked on it more, I think along with Kevin too and this song was written. They don't really perform it live unfortunately (with a few exceptions), but that's probably more because they need a choir for it. I know they did a live version with fans filling up the choir part and that was really cool too. Also, if you're up for doing songs without a music video 100% listen to Rose Gold. I mean listen to it anyway, even if you don't do a reaction. That's my second favorite original :). I'm gonna see them in March. It's crazy. So excited. And I'm excited for you too. Can't wait to hear you talk about it :).
